Please do note we are not close to any public transport links. The perfect place to relax or be as active as you like.

The story goes back to 1847 where the first generation of our family started making original Gouda Cheese. We still make it the same way and we are proud of it. Een delightful holiday house situated in the summerhouse of the farm Welgelegen. The farmhouse is situated next to river 't Gein. The area is very suitable for walks and bike tours. The house is 500 meters away from the idyllic town Abcoude and very close to the train station. The train brings you in 20 minutes to the centre of Amsterdam which makes it possible to combine the business of the city with the welcoming space and peace of the country life.

Two bedrooms, one mezzazine, sleeps 6 people. Please note the mezzazine has a steep ladder. We prefer to host families or people with reviews. 30 minute drive to Amsterdam, Alkmaar and Zaandam. Closer are Edam, Volendam and Marken.

Guesthouse on estate on the Vecht

Stay at the former eighteenth-century summer home of the Buwerij at the Ridderhofstad Gunterstein estate on the Vecht in Breukelen. The summer cottage is located in the yard of a small-scale organic dairy farm, a farm with 70 hectares of land adjacent to the Loosdrecht lakes, where our cows, mostly ancient Dutch blisters, graze in an ancient park-like cultural landscape.
