Cahercastle has been standing since the late 1400s One needs to be somewhat crazy to be owned by a castle , itsowned me now for 20 years, anyway it is our home its not perfect, so don't expect perfection ,we do have cobwebs and a little dust (so asthma sufferers take note)We endeavour to make your stay as comfortable as possible Please note when making a request to stay please take time to write an introductory message or have an informative profile We look forward to welcoming you Peter / Eva
“We certainly felt we were living like a king. Between Pete’s enthusiasm and the castle itself everyone should experience staying in a real castle especially one that you can have all to yourself. Full of character and quirkinesses that make a 5 star hotel stay look dull. When you think of all the countries you could go on holidays to do any of them have a castle you can stay in and meet the owner who refurbished it. A special stay 😜”
Comfortable modern cottage in quiet scenic location. A fantastic base from which to explore The Wild Atlantic Way. Situated at the gateway to the Burren ,30 minutes from Galway city, just under an hours drive away from the fabulous Cliffs if Moher and 2 km from Kinvara.A lovely location, yet within easy reach of Kinvara's lively bars and lovely restaurants. There is also the added benefit of having your hostess at hand to offer advice and assist you with any problems should they arise!.
“Mary was very welcoming and her cottage is lovely, spotlessly clean, self-contained, homely and spacious. Perfectly located for exploring the Burren, the Cliffs of Moher, Aillwee caves and Galway city. The cottage is well equipped with everything you could need. Mary provided basics like milk, eggs, OJ, yogurt, Tea, coffee and bread more than we honestly expected. The cottage is less than 5 minutes drive from the centre of Kinvarra, but far enough to enjoy the peace and quiet of a home from home. We have no small kids, but there is plenty of board games and Jenga to keep them amused later after exploring. We would definitely book Mary's cottage again!”

“Rosewood is a fabulous home from home, a safe haven in one of the most scenic parts of the world. The location is perfect, a short drive from Galway centre, the beautiful beaches, and of course the breath taking Cliffs of Moher and the Wild Atlantic Way. The cottage is exceptionally clean. The hosts clearly go above and beyond in terms of sterilisation and ensuring guest safety. They have thought of everything. Attention to detail is key to this experience, with the cottage having everything you need, from entertainment such as board games and dvds, to kitchenware and cooking utensils. Staying with two young children was made easy with a high standard of necessary features such as stair gates, socket protectors, plastic kitchenware, high chair and a cot all provided. The hosts have compiled a detailed folder, filled with local information and maps. They also make themselves available to help with any queries, and made us feel so welcome. The hot tub is an obvious stand out feature of the property. Cleaned daily and situated in a beautifully maintained private garden, it was a fabulous place to enjoy the peace and quiet under a stunning starry sky. The plush robes provided are also another nice touch. We honestly can not fault anything. Flowers on arrival, fresh bread for a continental breakfast, beautiful interior design.. This is really a fabulous cottage in a great location, with exceptional hosts. We will definitely be booking again.”
