House vacation rentals in Backbarrow

We had such a fabulous stay at Carole’s place in Warton. The lodge was immaculate and so well equipped with everything we needed. The location was quiet, private and set around a lovely small lake. 30 minute drive to Windermere and 15 minutes to Lancaster. Would highly recommend and look forward to staying again in the future.

We had a wonderful stay and family New Year celebration 🥳 Frans place is relaxed and fun with a bohemian vibe. Lots of space. Truly Air B&B with a homely approach and everything you need. Great tips and instructions too. Its worth noting for larger groups and people :-) that there are three bedrooms, one with a double bed and ensuite (no door). This is the only shower. The other two rooms have pretty small doubles. There is a bath too, but hot water is limited. We made it work and had a wonderful time, but this may not be ideal for others.

This place was beyond our expectations. Immaculately presented, super clean, tidy, jaw dropping views. I can't fault it in any way and I can't rate it highly enough. Will definately look to return in the future. Stunning!

A very comfortable and pleasant stay. Accommodation was spacious and clean. Conveniently located for the town centre. Only a short walk to some nice restaurants and bars. Would book again if coming to the area

Family of 4 stayed 3 nights in October 2024 and it was just what we needed. Had some beautiful long walks along the beach. The caravan was home from home, clean and cosy. It had everything you could want for cooking a simple breakfast to Sunday Roast. Clean and respectful surroundings around the park. I would definitely recommend to family and friends.

House was as described, beautiful setting with wonderful views of the hills and mountains. Rooms are spacious with comfy beds and bathrooms are nicely finished with good showers. Kitchen is a good size and has all required implements. A great location for exploring the central lakes and soaking up all that Ambleside has to offer.

Our family had a lovely stay at Burrowbank at the end of the summer holiday. The house is fantastic with all the facilities you could ask for. The kids loved the swings and most of all the pool, while the covered (heated) BBQ area meant evening meals outside watching the sunset. Great location and setting, very private and we would definitely come again and recommend to others. Martyn and Christine were very helpful and went the extra mile (even posting my daughter’s disposable camera that she left behind). Can’t think of any negatives and we made some great/happy memories.

We had a lovely short break here. The house is lovely, very clean and spacious. I do think the bathrooms and kitchen need replacing but it wouldn’t put me off staying there again. We only used the swimming pool at the village but it was lovely. Host was very quick to respond to questions before we arrived. A good place to stay to explore the Lake District

Amazing stay for a 30th family celebration. The sun was shining so we spent most our time at the house on the terrace! Perfect location with the surrounding scenery. We had a slight issue with the hot tub room, due to previous guests. But this was quickly resolved! Can’t fault the hosts or the house. Would definitely love to return for another celebration in the future one day! Thanks again

We had an amazing stay in a beautiful house. It was so quiet despite walking distance to Blackpool tower. Everything you would need and more. Large and spacious house. Lovely and clean throughout. The only small detail that could be improved would be to add more plates and dishes. Otherwise perfect. In fact one person in our group is looking to book it again for another holiday. Thanks so much for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home.

The house was in a convenient location and provided the amenities we needed for our short stay in Windermere. Liam was very responsive and provided clear and helpful information regarding check-in. We would stay here again!

Great little house to stay at. Well kept and looked after.

We had a great stay at this property! Gerard was lovely and extremely responsive. He provided clear instructions beforehand for how to find the property as it varied slightly from the postcode. We went to the Lake District and this was perfect location which was not too far to drive there

We booked this house as my Son will be starting work with BAE. We could not believe how close it was to BAE. The house was spotless and on a great link to the bus to Preston, just over the road. Morrisons shop, again 3 minutes walk away. There is a Pub next door but unfortunately was going through a refurbishment so we didn’t get to try the food etc. The garden was well kept as well. The only observation I can make is, it could do with bigger bath towels which on the whole was not the end of the world to us. Over all a great little house. We were very pleased with it.

Great sized place with all you could need. Walkable to the seafront and all the local attractions. Hosts are friendly and responded quickly when we had an issue. Would definitely come back

beautiful place, we were 4 adults with 2 kids. house was fully equiped with everything, like kitchen had everything (pots, pans, crocery, cutlery etc) board games, books. it was like you were home but in lake district. a little drive and you have everything (supermarket, motor musuem, windermere lake) one suggestion, if you want to book taxi book in advance otherwise you have to may be wait for some time. But in one word to describe the place is PERFECT! we will see you soon. Nitya

Awesome spot just away from the promenade. Safe area and easy to get to. We used it as a base for the Blackpool marathon and was perfect for all we needed 👍🏻

Fabulous stay. We loved the house (which was accurately described). It was perfect for me and my family. We loved making breakfast and dinner in the huge kitchen. Would love to stay again when in the area.

The house was as described. Very quiet on an evening. Great location for walking in the lakes following our walk up Scarfell Pike and Ennerdale. It’s not particularly a tourist location but a great base! All locals really friendly and Everything was expected and described.

Just back from a family stay at George’s beautiful house. All I can say was it exceeded our expectations. The house is massive, very clean and with just about every extra you could imagine. Quiet area despite being on the promenade and the stargate tram away from the bustle of Blackpool. The kids were all sad when we were leaving and we’ve had to promise them we will come again soon. Can’t recommend this place enough. 10/10

The house was perfect for two families. Extremely close to the beach and parking for the second car was perfect in the recommended car park which was just a few minutes walk away. The house was nicely decorated and had everything we needed for a comfortable, enjoyable stay. We will be booking again.

The property was beautiful, right next to the river and it has everything we need and more. Cheryl is lovely and very accommodating. The location is closed to many things. Definitely will come back if we go to Lake District again.
