“This place is a gem, would not change a thing.. the location is beautiful and there is so much to do in the surrounding areas. the house is cosy and traditional downstairs but the bedroom is bright and has amazing views over the hills, The jacuzzi is fabulous especially under the stars and the twinkling tree lights, after a day exploring. We felt very at home here.. Patti and Chris could not have been more lovely, and also the two doggies and cows were great neighbours, doesn’t get much better then this! highly recommend!”

“We spent 3 nights in Joanne’s cosy cottage. Joanne was the perfect host. She had provided us with all the basics (tea, bread, milk, etc) upon our arrival which was a lovely touch. She also had the stove set, all we had to do was put a match to it. Lighting the stove in the evenings kept the place lovely and warm. There’s no TV or internet in the cottage which, we all agreed, was a bonus. We spent each night playing cards, board games and almost completed one of Joanne’s 1000 piece puzzles (good old fashioned fun)!!!! Communication with Joanne was excellent. She made sure to keep us in the loop regarding Halloween activities in the town which were great craic for adults and children alike!! Ballydehob is a charming place and a wonderful hub to explore West Cork. We will definitely be back to stay in Cassidy Cottage!! Thanks again Joanne!”
Beautiful self contained apartment located in the West Cork countryside. This apartment, attached to the owner's farmhouse, offers complete peace and privacy to those who stay here. Overlooking Dunmanus Bay and the Sheeps Head Peninsula with Mount Corrin in the background the property offers breathtaking views along with scenic walks. Located along the Wild Atlantic Way, this property is located 1.5km from Durrus village where a local grocery store, café and pubs are located.
“The property is beautifully situated in the green Irish hills, yet within easy reach. Mary is a welcoming host and the apartment has everything you need for a 2-3 day stay. We only booked one room and therefore shared the apartment with another guest on the first night which was very uncomplicated. But you can also book the whole apartment, if you want to have peace and quiet. The view from the small terrace behind the house is sensationally beautiful, both in the morning and in the evening a dream!”
