“Bank cottage is not just a Airbnb stay it is a beautiful homely (dog friendly) place to stay. We didn’t want to leave! From the moment you step into bank cottage, it’s everything and more you imagine from the pictures. Kirsty and Mayur have really thought of all the little details which makes the difference from a stay being good to a stay being outstanding! This place deserves the Airbnb LUXE status. This place made us happy because of how Dog friendly It is! from the treats left to making sure Rosie could get on the local bus it just made a huge difference. At the bottom of Banks cottage garden you are on the Solway Firth! Which your dog can safely roam and run free! ( The welcome pack) Kirsty and Mayur send to you, gives you all the information you will need to make your stay brilliant! .. The village pub (The kings Arms) is very welcoming, cosy with an open fire and dog friendly. We also as Kirsty and Mayur suggested got a Sainsbury’s online shop delivered to the cottage( would highly recommend this) as The village is very remote. I could go on writing how great this place is. But I would say book and stay you will not be disappointed! We will be back in the near future! Thank you Kirsty and Mayur for sharing your beautiful home.”
My place is close to the Solway Firth on the outskirts of Annan. You’ll love it because of the the gorgeous view over to the Lake District, the serenity of the area, and the bird watching opportunities. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers. Car parking space is available in the yard in front of the cabin. Table and chairs for sitting in the garden are supplied. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave and oven/grill.
“We were looking for a post lockdown retreat. Somewhere to escape the same 4 walls but be able to relax and not worry, and this wonderful little place gave us all of that. Ilse and Bill were genuinely lovely hosts. They gave us a fabulous welcome and were super helpful about the cabin and area. The place was spotless clean (a huge must these days!) with lovely home touches (Ilse’s paintings are gorgeous!) and a view to die for. The weather was extreme- we had 4 seasons in one day- but it was perfect to get out and breath in the sea air and experience the elements. We watched the full moon rise in a never quite dark sky, and slept like babies. Thank you for a wonderful stay :)”
Recently renovated cottage on a working livestock farm, this riverside abode offers the perfect place to peacefully unwind. The Lake District, Solway Coast, Hadrians Wall and the Scottish Borders are within easy reach, with Junction 44 of the M6 being only 5 minutes drive east. Local fishing and shooting can be organised (I have fishing rights to the River Lyne running through my farm also and a outdoor country pursuits store is located it at the very end of my drive!). “I can not recommend this place enough. The location is beautiful - looking out on to open farm land. Yet you are around 7 minutes from the m6 and the retail parks to the south, and Gretna Outlet Village around fifteen minutes to the north. We also go to Pooley Bridge in under 30 minutes (which is always our breakfast Lake District stop), and then later, back from Whinlatter and Keswick in under 50 minutes. David is the loveliest person and always answers quickly and was happy to answer my questions and tell us about the farm. It’s not often that you get to an AirBnB place and find it perfect and way better than you thought it might be, but this was it. By the time we left my son was adamant we were going to ask David to buy it and he was going to build a tree house in the garden..! There’s no better review than that..”
