Recently renovated cottage on a working livestock farm, this riverside abode offers the perfect place to peacefully unwind. The Lake District, Solway Coast, Hadrians Wall and the Scottish Borders are within easy reach, with Junction 44 of the M6 being only 5 minutes drive east. Local fishing and shooting can be organised (I have fishing rights to the River Lyne running through my farm also and a outdoor country pursuits store is located it at the very end of my drive!). “I can not recommend this place enough. The location is beautiful - looking out on to open farm land. Yet you are around 7 minutes from the m6 and the retail parks to the south, and Gretna Outlet Village around fifteen minutes to the north. We also go to Pooley Bridge in under 30 minutes (which is always our breakfast Lake District stop), and then later, back from Whinlatter and Keswick in under 50 minutes. David is the loveliest person and always answers quickly and was happy to answer my questions and tell us about the farm. It’s not often that you get to an AirBnB place and find it perfect and way better than you thought it might be, but this was it. By the time we left my son was adamant we were going to ask David to buy it and he was going to build a tree house in the garden..! There’s no better review than that..”

The contemporary open plan living area with comfy sofas and wood burner, dining and kitchen areas, to the cosy bedroom with plump pillows and contemporary en-suite bathroom. In the garden there is also private Hot Tub underneath a pergola.
“An absolutely lovely place, really enjoyed our stay. Everything was very clean and in very good condition. The bed was very comfortable and we particularly loved the fire place! The hot tub was also wonderful and very private with a lovely view over the estuary, which is great to walk along. It was also great that both the TV in the bedroom and the main room both had Netflix and meant we could continue watching programmes on either television. Overall, a really lovely place and would definitely recommend!”
Minetrack Log Cabin, Liddel Water Lodges Minetrack Log Cabin is a luxurious, real log cabin set right on the English-Scottish border, overlooking the beautiful Liddel Water. The recently completed log cabin features amenities of the highest standard, including a six-person Jacuzzi hot tub, large open plan living-dining area with a fully equipped kitchen; the perfect place for a rural getaway with family or friends.
“Wow! We stayed at Minetrack Monday - Friday....4 adults, two dogs and 5 children ages 6 - 15. The lodge is stunning, absolutely breath taking. We loved our stay and would absolutely book again. Yes it looks amazing on the photos....but it's even better in real life. Beautiful location with views over the river into Scotland. Not isolated, yet quiet. The second cabin is nearby at the river bank, both cabins have tons of private outside space. Great walks through woodland along the river, there's even a warm water tap outside for muddy dog paws. Inside the lodge is decorated and styled exactly right, it spacious yet cosy and warm - the perfect combination. The open plan living area with contemporary log burner, dining table for 10, and beautiful kitchen was the center for our families to spend time together relaxing and cooking. (Yes there is Wi-Fi but do other stuff 😂). The hot tub was fantastic. The bedrooms each have an en-suite and are beautifully decorated. Good firm mattresses on the beds. The whole lodge was immaculately clean and has a very luxurious feel to it. I am looking forward to our return already, I can't say enough! Thank you 😊”
