The Bothy is a wonderful place for both r&r and as a base to explore the wilds of Scotland. It’s incredibly peaceful, cosy, and well located. There are plenty of walks that leave from the front door, as well as some beautiful longer walks a short car ride or cycle away. Susannah was a wonderful host and kept in touch which was much appreciated. Definitely stay here if you can!

We had a great stay with our dogs. Nicola and her family made us feel very welcome and directed us to some breath-taking walks in the area. The airbnb itself was so comfortable and in a perfect, quiet spot for exploring. Thanks so much, we wish we'd booked for longer!

It is a beautiful and spacious apartment tucked away in Birnam. The apartment is welcoming and stylish. Conveniently close to the train station if you're travelling by public transport, and there is plenty of on street parking if you're driving. Birnam is within walking distance of Dunkeld (about 15 minutes) where there is more amenities. We recommend visiting the Birnam Arts Centre which is at the end of the road from the apartment, it is a lovely space and has a good cafe (reasonably priced too). If you're able to get to Pitlochry, we highly recommend a meal at The Wee Choo Choo restaurant (set in a converted train carriage, one that featured in Mission Impossible), the food was delicious and the staff lovely. Ali was a great and friendly host, very helpful and responsive, and provided local recommendations. We would definitely stay here again.

We experienced our stay in the cabin and Inger as a host as very good. The cabin is spacious and was very clean. The surroundings where the cabin is located are truly beautiful, almost fairytale-like. We were lucky to have sunny weather and could enjoy eating outside. It is about a 20-minute drive to Pitlochry, a charming small town with many activities.
