Family-friendly vacation rentals in Dundee

I booked this property for my husband and his 3 friends for his 40th birthday. Wallace was extremely communicative at all times, and was very welcoming to the group on arrival. One of the guests arrived early and while Wallace explained the place would not be ready till check in, the guest was able to fish on the loch till later in the day, and thoroughly enjoyed himself! The property was as described, perfectly clean and the location was exactly what I was looking for when I booked. It was easy to find, and the walking guides and maps of the local area were very helpful too. Would book again!

We had a wonderful time at Balnacraig Lodge. It had everything we needed and more! We especially loved the large living room which was perfect for socialising and the hot tub. We also loved that the lodge was very baby friendly. We had our 6 month old with us and the highchair and baby monitor meant I didn’t need to bring half our house with us. Really just the most perfect lodge for our wee weekend getaway.

We had an absolutely lovely time at Ali's place. Spacious, clean and very comfortable. Hot tub and garnden really make the place with stunning views. Easy access to Edinburgh by train and car and also the Fife coastal path. We loved it! would be very happy to return again one day. Ali was the perfect host.

Maggie’s cottage in Dunning is a true gem. The place is beautifully set up, with a cosy but clean feel. The garden and retro hot tub add another dimension and make this an unforgettable stay. We will be back! Thanks a lot

We had a wonderful family break! We loved the outdoor space and the beds were super comfortable! We made use of the hot tub and BBQ and enjoyed days out to Stonehaven and St Cyrus beach.

Great host, everything mentioned was included plus cupboards stocked with plenty of basics if needed. Beautiful location wish we had long to explore

The most amazing weekend get away at this gorgeous cottage in the country- Lorna is a wonderful host who has thought of everything to make the stay magical and comfortable- from the yummy breakfast basket she left for us on arrival to pre heating the hot tub, and lighting the log burner to warm the cool night… we had the most wonderful time and will definitely be back again- thanks Lorna for being the best hostess. We rented Ladywell Lodge with the Doocot for a large family holiday. Though the cottage is up in the hills, it was very quick to get to major routes. The lodge was perfect for the two couples who stayed there. It is tucked away in its own large outdoor space with woods and hill walks just moments away. It was comfortable and clean with everything as described. The kitchen was well laid out and the sitting room really cosy. The hosts were great too - Sandra is really responsive and we found the flexible check in really good. It was perfect for our family and being able to pair renting this with the Doocot meant we had a brilliant space for lots of people to stay. My husband and I would love to go back and would happily rent the lodge again as it was so comfortable in a beautiful setting. Highly recommend.

We visited the cottage for a long weekend as we love the Borders. From first communication with Lowry I knew we would not be disappointed. The cottage was so lovely, peaceful and beautifully furnished. It was not like a holiday cottage at all it was definitely like a home. The garden was amazing and our dogs absolutely loved it. The welcome pack was extremely generous and thoughtful and along with other luxurious touches like bathrobes it did make the visit one that stood out. The pub across the road was really nice and it was a pleasant surprise just how lovely it was when we walked in. My partner said several times he could live in the cottage and wondered if they would sell it to us! We would love to return. Thank you x

Paddy and Catherine were great hosts, we were able to explore the forest on their property, play with their cute chickens, use their trampoline and even got an easter gift.

A spacious and well maintained property in a superb location in the centre of Elie. The house is actually situated on the same road as the Ship Inn (probably the best pub/restaurant in Elie) which is very short walk away, as is the beach. The house also benefits from excellent privacy, and it has a small, completely walled in, front garden which makes it very secure for a dog (if you bring one).

A lovely place to stay looking over the harbour area of Arbroath. Spotlessly clean and everything you need for a great stay. Alex always very helpful as host of the accommodation.

We had a lovely relaxing 3 night stay. It felt very homely in a quiet cul-de-sac. Close to all amenities and the beach and costal walk. Bed was extremely comfy and lovely soft towels. Sarah was a great host, very helpful and responsive to messages.

We had an enjoyable weekend break in the Lookout at Pitmilly. Excellent standard of accommodation and facilities and a wonderful setting, convenient for exploring the Fife coast. Would highly recommend.

Everything in the accommodation was kept clean, and the kitchen was well-equipped, so it was convenient to use.What was a little disappointing was that the bathroom shower leaked, so it was a little uncomfortable. Overall, it was a satisfactory accommodation.

This is a super place to stay . Modern and tasteful in a beautiful historic building, right on the riverside. It is super clean, very comfortable beds, plenty big soft towels . It feels like a home from home as Anthony has put so much thought and care into making the apartment so welcoming .

Karan was extremely responsive, great communication. Place was worth every penny compared to other hires in the park. Only issue we had was that the caravan had a horrible stench when we got there, most likely something the previous people cooked as the place didn’t have an extractor fan on the hob. We messaged Karan and he sent someone over to refill the air freshener but the odour over powered so took more than a day to die out. Other than that we had a lovely stay and would recommend this place to others.

We had a lovely two night stay - easy to find, clean cottage, wonderful grounds to explore, lots of great tips from Andrew in terms of things to look out for in the grounds, loved finding the wishing well! The cocker spaniel puppy was a lovely surprise bonus!
