“Be prepared to be wowed by the stunning space that has been created - what a privilege to be able to stay there. It is very much a working building - Liz's home and studio space , and shared with the residents artists. It is therefore scattered with the equipment, materials, artefacts and useful clutter that go with such a building . This might not be to everyone's taste, but I loved it. The kitchen area is well equipped and in a corner of the studio - so inclined to be chilly if it is cold outside. The steps to bathroom and living room/bedroom and the flooring patterns give an insight into the original cinema use of the building and the original foyer is used for art storage. A door leads into the air bnb room - where the clean white space continues. Room layout is up to guests - it is a long rectangular room with panoramic windows looking into the studio. There are blinds on all the windows. There is an optional foldout dividing wall to separate living and sleeping areas or you can keep it open plan . The room is well heated (we stayed in icy November and the room was cosy) furniture and fittings are modern , and interesting designs. It's a completely unique space , verging on industrial and not for you if you want carpets and frilly sofas, but exciting to be part of . As an artist and a birder it suited us down to the ground . Sadly we could only stay for two nights but hope to return. The views across Firth of Forth are stunning . We walked the Fife coastal path to Kirkcaldy and came back on the bus and also visited the eco centre at Kinghorn Loch. We ate at the Ship Inn in Kinghorn one night (very good) and cooked for ourselves the other - there are also a couple of takeaways in the town . Can't wait to come back”
Kinghorn Town Hall is a listed property with plenty of fascinating history. The apartment has a beautiful and spacious living area that has been traditionally styled. There are three bedrooms: first bedroom has a kingsize bed, second has two single beds, and third room has a king bed with an ensuite. We have provided all of the amenities required to have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The apartment is an ideal location for visiting Edinburgh and beyond or exploring the wonderful Fife Coast.
“A special property and wonderful value. It is your own private 'manse' in coastal Fife, easy drives to other pretty towns along the coast, Edinburgh, Glasgow and your golfing or distillery visits. Our family stayed over Christmas 2019 and what a great house for the holidays. Beth and team had it decorated with a small tree, lights, garlands and Christmas treats when we arrived, such a nice touch! The living /dining area is just as spacious and comfortably elegant as the pictures look, great for relaxing in and family or even guest meals; a mini reunion. (Because of the size, it's better for a longer stay than just a day or two.) The description made it sound like stairs might be an issue -- there are flights up to the door as well as further up to the bedrooms, but the main staircase is quite wide, not an issue unless stairs are a problem for you. The ground floor holds town spaces, not occupied or much used so it's quiet and you have the building and the garden to yourself. Street parking is easy and the 'locals' were the possibly the friendliest pubs in Scotland! We've stayed in airbnbs all over Europe, Asia and the Americas and this one stands out. Beth was very responsive to anything we needed and all communications. Thanks for a great stay!”

This quaint property, recently refurbished to an excellent standard is a great place to escape and unwind at any time of the year.
“Book this accommodation now !!! Myself, my hubby and (almost) two year old had a wonderful week here in August. There is nothing Barbara hadn’t thought of! Such a homely air b n b, scrupulously clean and a real home from home to be honest. The toys and books provided for my daughter were a godsend and a really nice touch, as was the bucket and spade as we forgot to pack ours..! The location is also wonderful. It feels like you are in the middle of nowhere but you have everything at your fingertips! You would not need to drive if you didn’t want to as the train station is a very short walk away. We loved being able to walk to Kinghorn beach and along the coastal path. Dolphins can be seen if you’re lucky..! The locals are super friendly and welcoming. The local Chinese is absolutely fantastic with very generous portions. We caught the train to Edinburgh for the Fringe and we drove to St Andrews which was a great day out. The botanical gardens are a must. We would love to return one day! Thanks so much Barbara.”
