Monthly Rentals in Lacka Road

A very charming cottage in a remarkable location. Staying here with out of hours access to the gardens is like a private retreat. The cottage has all the amenities you will need and is spacious and very comfortable. The gardens are stunning, especially in March when the magnolias are at their peak. We had visited a number of occasions previously before but enjoying the gardens without watching the clock for the drive home was quite special. Having the bikes available with unrestricted access to the Greenway was an unexpected bonus which we also enjoyed. We also found having the cafe a short walk from the house was ideal for breakfast and for a light lunch while exploring the grounds. And for longer stays this is an ideal base for exploring Waterford city and touring the many interesting spots around the county.

We felt so well looked after with lovely bread, milk and butter on arrival as well as some Easter Treats. The beds and bed linen were so good. Everything about the place was gorgeous and the hosts have done a lovely job on this cottage. We had lovely cosy nights in and did some of the recommended activities aswell as cycling the greenway. Paddy’s Bar was recommended and we really enjoyed it. We only wished they were open for dinner every day! Most places of interest/ shops/ restaurants were about 15/20mins drive.

We've been travelling around Ireland for a little over 3 weeks and this AirBnb was the most comfortable place we stayed it by a long shot. Beds were super comfy, everything's so spacious, kitchen is decently kitted and if you need anything, Louise will be there to provide it for you. The only downside is that it's a 15 minute drive over from Waterford, or a 30 minute drive from Kilkenny, but that's a non-issue if you have a car. It's a very peaceful rural setting next to the castle. It would be great to look at stars or do night photography, but the nights we were there, there was a slight overcast. Would definitely stay there again. Louise is great to talk to.

A modern, well designed accomodation with great decor and interior. We really enjoyed our stay at 'The Shed', it was well equipped with all appliances for our family. With only a short spin to Waterford and Kilkenny, plenty to explore. Thanks for a great stay Geraldine!
