Our rural location on a cycle route just outside the historic market town of Biggar brings privacy, stunning views, and great walks like Coulter Fell or Tinto. It's a perfect base from which to explore the hidden gem of Dumfries and Galloway - an area packed with history, wildlife, unspoilt beaches, stunning views and acres of wilderness. We're a 15 minute drive from Dumfries (you'll find eateries, supermarkets, independent shops, an ice bowl, cinema and leisure centre) but Swift Cottage feels as though it's in the middle of nowhere - with dark skies and genuine peace.

Literally a moment's walk from the scenic town centre of Moffat with local shops, pubs, restaurants & other amenities. The cottage is next to a river walk & the town, is surrounded by stunning scenery; perfect for avid hillwalkers. Only 5 minutes off the motorway (1.5 hr from Edinburgh,1 hr from Glasgow & 45mins from Carlisle) it's a perfect en route stopover but even better for a week! Welcome!

The Bothy is ideally located just 4 minutes drive from junction 15 of the A74(M). It is in large gardens surrounded by woodland and farmland. There is free parking beside the cottage. The porch has plenty of room for hiking boots, coats and dog leads and seating to relax and watch the rabbits. The two bedrooms have excellent mattresses and thick toppers for a good nights sleep. One bedroom has a wide desk that can also be used as a dressing table. The other has a 3 seat sofa.
