Vacation rentals with a kayak in Ouachita River

We were hesitant to drive 7 hours to get to Caney Lake, but it was totally worth it. property was perfect for our spring break trip with two of our kids 12 and 13 yo, and the dog. Incredible views, lovely outdoor spaces, terrace/deck outside is massive and beatiful. Grills, dart board, projector, hot tube. They really thought of everything to make your stay a great experience. Boat House/Deck was a blast, kayaks, paddle boards, etc. Kids enjoyed it very much. Excellent place for relaxing, very secluded, quite, and with lot to do. Will definetely plan to come back.. My family (2 children, 2 adults) enjoyed our time at this location. The description met our expectations. We enjoyed fishing, kayaking, playing games and watching movies. We took time to go into Hot Springs and check out some of the recommendations on places to go. This was just what our family needed. A nice, quiet, relaxing place to stay on vacation. My kids have already asked to go back in the summer.

This was a good place for girls birthday getaway. It was easy to find and close to restaurants and grocery store. The house was very clean and had everything we needed to cook some meals and eat in. The hot tub was nice because it was too cold for the lake. we would like to come back in summer to use kayaks. Thank you !

Quiet and beautiful home. Never knew the neighbors were around. Peaceful place to stay and enjoy the short drive to many restaurants, shops, and activities.

This is an older home but so charming and is right on lake Hamilton. We enjoyed fishing and kayaking, there were two kayaks there we used, they also had an inflatable kayak but didn’t require it. We had a family trip, 6 of us, all adults. Sleeping accommodations worked out well. Two clean bathrooms with great towels! Great living room space and table for eating or card games :) there were also board games provided for us to use. The kitchen was perfect for cooking breakfast before we headed out for adventures in town. Kitchen well stocked with everything we needed. Also had a grill outside but we didn’t use. We walked to a very close park with trails nearby. Walmart close drive if you forgot anything. Doyet was a delightful host, so kind and knowledgeable about the area. He lives right next door and is very responsive to any needs. He also left us some arrival goodies and flowers! I would love to stay here again!

Fantastic place to stay if you're celebrating your birthday. Front has a beautiful view and an amazing place to see it out of. Rooms were great and made us feel right at home. Hosts were especially nice and responsive. Totally recommend!!

The place on the river was very quiet and had beautiful surroundings. The place was spacious with ample room indoors and out. My buddies and I rode dirt bikes in the area and this place worked out so well for us we would come back for sure. Steven was always quick to respond to the few questions we had and super helpful.

Snug and cozy for a weekend getaway. Well maintained, very clean, comfortable beds and linen. Close enough to get to Hot Springs and other attractions, but a nice private place to get away at night. Kitchen well appointed with all the necessities, will be staying here again!

Beautiful, cozy cabin with wonderful, thoughtful amenities!! I had my 88 yo mom, 2 great nieces, and a dog.......everyone loved this home. The hosts were responsive if needed. Thoughtful treats awaited everyone....dog treats, coloring books and crayons, and a bottle of wine. We all wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you so much for hosting us!!! We hope to return in the future.

This place was absolutely beautiful and such a cozy home. Kristi was responsive and the communication was great. She even let us check-in a couple hours early since the place was vacant the day before. The only con was the hot tub needed a part ordered and it wasnt going to be installed until after our trip ended. My gf and I were not able to enjoy it the first night. However, it started heating up and it work the rest of our trip! This also was not a damper on our vaction, as we decided to extend our stay for another night because we liked it so much! I brought some poles and we fished off the private dock, enjoyed staying in while it stormed and rested in the hot tub at night. All of her TVs were connected to all the streaming platforms, making movie nights an ease. I would love to come back during the warmer months to enjoy the kayaks they provide, as it was too cold to enjoy them.This place was very much worth it and we had an amazing time. Thank you for the great memories we made!

We had an amazing time here. Very nice place to stay. Really peaceful and relaxing. The cabin was really comfortable with plenty of space. We loved being able to use the kayaks and canoe. Such a neat experience. Would highly recommend staying here.

This place was fantastic! Very cozy! Dewitt was an incredible host and very kind. He was fast in all of his responses. He made sure that we felt comfortable at home. He was very accommodating (especially providing us kayaks for the lake) and provided us great local tips around the Hot Springs area (which were super fun to do)! We will definitely be returning back to the property!

I took my 3 sons, 19, 16, and 12, and it was just the weekend I wanted - unplugged! The kids kayaked, swam, played football in the yard. I read a book in the hammock. We ate gumbo on the back porch. I had what I needed in the kitchen. It was a great weekend! I will definitely stay again!

We were so impressed with our cabin. We enjoyed our little getaway and had quality family time. There was plenty to do. We enjoyed fishing and roasting marshmallows by the campfire. It was spacious. The cabin was stocked with everything you could think of, we could have packed lighter. Would love to come back in the summertime and enjoy the lake a little more.

We loved the decks, fire pit and parking. Cabins were clean well appointed. The beds were very comfortable. We would absolutely stay here again.

Hosts were great, friendly, and very responsive. The space was good and had lots of wildlife around. The family and kids had plenty of activities to do around the house and in a close vicinity. Parents were able to let the children play while we unwind not worrying too much about the kids hurting themselves or causing teouble. We just were unlucky and the water in the area had issues throughout our stay which made alot of things difficult, like cooking, washing clothes, hot tub, and using the restrooms. The hosts did their best to keep us informed on the situation but again it was out of their control. In the end they did their best to make it up to us which showed their dedication of excellent service despite less than ideal circumstances. We posted our vacay pictures on social media and lots of friend are already asking about the cabin, which we sent them the link to. This is our favorite cabin in that Smithville/Broken Bow area… it’s so peaceful and perfectly placed over the river we will be coming back!

This is a truly place to unplug and relax. There is no cable TV or WiFi but there was plenty of other things to do. It was like days before cell phones, which was nice. Gwen was an excellent host and very responsive to our questions.

We loved our stay! The house felt like home when we first walked in. Pam left us some thoughtful snacks, and a helpful guide to the area. We enjoyed the s'mores at the comfy firepit, and relaxed and enjoyed our coffee on the front porch. The kayaks were so much fun to use as well. Everything was decorated for St. Patrick's Day, which was so thoughtful. Our stay was restful because of the comfy beds and quiet surroundings. Their house is close to everything. We would love to stay again!

We love Carrie’s place! This is our third stay at Music Mountain Family Retreat Center but not our last. Carrie’s cabins are beautiful inside and out, immaculately clean, comfortable, and feel like home. See you next time!
