Lovely cottage in quiet village with beautiful sea views from windows. Had everything we needed to feel comfortable and at home after a day exploring the area. We didn't actually met Martin as he was away when we were staying but we had no problem getting in and the cottage was so well provided we didn't want for anything. The welcome pack was a lovely touch. Would strongly recommend.

Nice wee welcoming package. Lovely bedding. Cottage has everything a family will need. Beautiful courtyard garden. Lovely walks all along the beach, saw some seals bobbing about. Very relaxing

Very welcome

This a very nice cottage, with a well appointed kitchen, comfortable beds and an easy walk to Buckie. Everything you need for a quiet holiday with your family. There is a very comfortable and private back patio that makes a wonder outdoor space.

A lovely, comfortable, well equipped house with everything that you need. A great location for touring the Moray coast and the sea view was an added bonus. We didn't meet Martin but access was easy and everything was well organised.

My friends and I had a fantastic time staying at Mike's place in the quiet little seaside town of Buckie. The apartment was clean and comfortable and right on the ocean. The reception for my phone was spotty but I have a crappy, burner-style phone so ... Also, there was no internet in the apartment, but several places in town offered free wifi, so no worries. I only mention that here because I probably would have done more initial planning / coordination before I arrived. All in all, a great place and I would definitely recommend staying here!

Mike was easy to contact and met me at the cottage. He ensured that I was happy with everything and actually came back a couple of times during the week - once to warn me of a problem at Aberdeen airport that might have affected my journey south. I was staying in the area on business and this cottage is a great alternative to a hotel. It is full of the right stuff to allow anyone to stay and cater for themselves. It's got modern decor yet retains its traditional looks, spacious, warm and well presented. It's also in an old corner of Buckie and couldn't be nearer the sea. You can hear the waves from the cottage. Parking is available right outside and access along the coast or up into Buckie is easy. With reference to no wifi / patchy phone coverage, using EE my iPhone just about managed to get a single bar of 3G near the outside walls so could squeeze a bit of data onto my phone and make a call or two.

Our stay are 68 Yardie was great! The house was spotless, spacious, incredibly well equipped and comfortable. Fantastic bed. Buckie is a convenient location for touring this part of Scotland and Mike had compiled a comprehensive folder of a diverse range of local attractions and activities. We found Mike and his wife Jillian very friendly and prompt in all our dealings and would highly recommend this delightful property. If we're ever in Scotland again we would love to come back.

This holiday home in Buckie is a true gem! The photos do not portray how lovely this home is. Very spacious, well equipped and right on the sea. The beds are very comfortable, have high quality linens and a TV in each bedroom. The kitchen is well stocked with all the most useful cooking implements. There is plenty of parking and is situated on a quiet street. Mike was very accommodating with our arrival and quick to respond to all communications. We highly recommend this lovely holiday home.

Excellent stay in a lovely warm house (essential in winter in the north east!). There was loads of space, a massive bathroom, everything we needed was provided, the house was clean and tidy and we loved the location - its right near the sea. Its an excellent place for exploring and there is loads to see and do around and about. There was excellent communication with the host and we were met at the house on arrival. there is nothing we did not like about this place and our stay. We would definitely return.

Sherry and Richard's place is truly a gem. Not only do they have unparalleled views of the rugged North Sea, but, more importantly, they are warm and generous people, truly caring and willing to go the extra mile to make you feel at home. I count myself privileged to now count them among my friends!

A nice room with a lovely seaview onto the port at the top of a big restored house of character that used to be the postoffice.very quiet place.very comfortable double bed. Very nice cheerful people,always friendly,helpul and considerate towards their guests,patient,too Everything was always ready,handy and tidy.Even the bed sheets were changed after 4 nights! I did enjoy my stay with Sherry and Richard and would highly recommend this couple

I had an amazing experience staying with Sherry and Richard. They went out of their way to be welcoming and did everything they could to ensure I had an enjoyable time. The small village of Portgordon is quiet and relaxing, with wonderful ocean views and the opportunity for seal watching. It's also close to many distilleries and between Inverness and Aberdeen.

Sherry and Richard were helpful and accommodating before and during my six weeks staying with them; providing good advice about the local area, etc. The room was spacious, clean and with a pretty view of the Moray Firth itself - great for spotting the local wildlife (seals, dolphins and ospreys).

I booked the room for 2 nights for my mother. She had an absolutely wonderful stay with Sherry and Richard. She had a wonderful room overlooking the Port with everything she needed. The lounge was excellently appointed. The hosts were so nice and welcoming. If you are looking for a nice play to stay then you can't go wrong staying here.

It was wonderful when Rachel and Martin. Very warm welcome and an exceptional accommodation. Everything was very clean and cozy. We felt always welcome for the duration of stay and got for our onward journey a lot of tips. To say in one word: excellent.

They were terrific. It's hard to both open your home to guests and live your own life, and they have mastered that. Very friendly and helpful. Great recommendations on golf, Martin!

Couldn't have wished for a better place to explore the area! Rachel and Martin are extremely friendly people and we felt welcome the second we stepped into the house (which is beautiful, btw!). Martin is a great conversationalist, took me almost an hour to go get a glass of water once because I met him in the kitchen. That's the reason for traveling this way, right? We really enjoyed our talks and getting to know you! Next to that, the breakfast was outstanding and everything was very nice and clean. Thank you for the great time!

Rachel and Martin were lovely and shared their lovely home. Attentive to our needs and helpful with directions and local sight we would not have known. We enjoyed their relaxed attitude for us to be comfortable and enjoyed great conversation. Everything was clean and we had our privacy. The views were remarkable, the sunset beautiful. Very accessable to the beautiful countryside which we enjoyed exploring. Breakfast was lovely each morning. Enjoyed our host and Connolly (the big man-dog) very much!

I can recommend staying here 100%. I was only looking for somewhere to get my head down after a long days work however this place is so much more than that. It is a gorgeous house with stunning views over the sea. My room was large and warm with a bathroom across from it where there was a welcoming relaxing bath. The hosts were more than helpful but also gave me space to continue on paperwork. They are a lovely couple of nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely stay here again.

We had an awesome time! Martin and Rachael were amazing- I'd say one of the best airbnb experiences we've had. The location and the house was much better than we expected, I think the photos don't do justice :) I'd definitely recommend staying here!

We had an amazing time staying with Rich and Sherry! Great, friendly, attentive couple who made us feel like old friends. The room was newly decorated, very comfy bed, and as advertised had excellent views across the firth. The bathroom was modern and clean. Great private lounge for our own use but we also thoroughly enjoyed sharing a meal and drinks with the hosts. This tiny village has a seal colony 5 minutes walk away, and is only a few miles drive from shops. Sherry and Rich gave great advice on places to go and even took us berry picking! We would love to stay again and highly recommend it.

Sherry and her husband are very welcoming and friendly people. They very kindly invited to have a drink while discussing something and others. We loved going on this time in their company. The breakfast was great and the choice varied (the best breakfast that we have had)! We feasted. The view from the room was superb.

Tough my friend and I stayed for just one night, we could appreciate and enjoy their kindness and availability, making us feel like at home among friends. The house itself is very fascinating as well as the room with a beautiful view over the harbour. The atmosphere was just so great in spite of the bad weather. Sherry was an amazing host. She and her hustband Richard are lovely people. The house was a little bit tricky to find - but Portgordon is not that big, and they were already waiting for us, and came out to guide us in. The room was big and also the bathroom. We had absolutely everything we needed. We enjoyed the night at there house very much. We watched the Europeon Song Contest from Austria together and we had wine and beer and talked a lot. Sherry and Richard made us feel very comfortable. We had a wonderful breakfast. We would absolutely go there again - just to meet the two again :)

We had a warm welcome at Sherrys Place and really enjoyed it there. We could go for a long walk and enjoy the nature. Portgordon is really a good place to calm down and relax. Sherry and her family were really great and we had a lovely stay. Breakfast was also very good. We thank them very much for there help and tips for our onward journey. This is a beautifully restored fisherman's cottage with a view of the harbour entrance and wonderful sunsets over the Moray Firth. It is great for a quiet getaway for a couple. Comfortable and cosy there is a log fire for colder days although we did not need it!

A lovely, peaceful, comfortable and beautifully decorated cottage in a relaxed, quiet village. Superb coast line, with stunning beaches, dolphins, seals, birds, and friendly folk everywhere. Looking forward to going back : )

So what do we say More to the point what to start with The house is perfect. Just perfect The finishes in the house are that of a high end house. The decor and colours work well. The house has some amazing little touches that once you discover them you just stand back and go ok wow that's awesome. The fireplace is to die for. Created by a master but there for the eye and the heart. The smell of the burner at night whilst looking over the harbour watching the moon glisten on the sea is worth a million dollars every time. Rosemary has thought of everything from the fluffy towels to the little fisher sailor men around the home giving it the fishing village feel, to the drawer with cling film and tin foil in because as well as you shop for the meals etc you always forget that one thing. But don't worry Rosemary has that covered! Superstar or what! The bedroom is the work of a master carpenter. The bare oak beams stained and protected showing exactly how the house was constructed all those years ago to the stunning solid wooden floor. Again with windows that over look the harbour and moonlight. The bed it self was super comfortable with super soft fresh linen. The shower room has all the mod cons of a new house. A power shower to leave every inch of your body clean. And with a Rosemary's fluffy towels at the ready. The kitchen is well equipped with washing machine, dish washer, oven and hob. Not to mention well stocked beautiful glassware and plates. The living room has comfortable couches. A wood burner. Flat screen tv. But with the sonus music blue tooth player and stunning views you won't be watching tv. You turn the fire on with the supplied logs and coal for free. Turn on your favourite music (mines was Emeli Sande) and drift away relaxing in this amazing wonderful cottage. If your reading this and don't book this place then you clearly need your head examined. This place ticks every box. Not to mention one super friendly host. The cottage is a credit to her and her husbands hard work over the years to prefect the cottage. Would 150% book again!

The cottage is very comfortable and complete with everything you might need such as dishwasher, hairdryer, good heating, good shower, wi-fi, etc. The village is very lovely and secluded, with a good pub close by.

Great little cottage for two with wonderful walks.

The cottage is very cosy and simply perfect for a couple. All the furniture and appliances looked very new and in good condition.The owners could have been tempted to create two bedrooms in the roof conversion but went for one large room and this was a great decision. The location is quiet with a small fishing port right on the doorstep and with walks along the coastal path Findochty is so relaxing. There is just the one pub/restaurant in the village and no shops we could find, so you'll need to plan ahead or visit the shops in Buckie.

Elizabeth offers a fantastic house which does not miss anything for a perfect vacation. Lovely hosts, plenty of space and beautiful details in the house an a great surrounding only to mention a few. very much recommended to calm down and have a great time.

Elizabeth and Terry were welcoming and showed us around the house. We were lucky with great weather.

Betty made us feel a very attentive host and kept in touch with us . Betty met us on arrival at the cottage and showed us round . The cottage was lovely : tastefully furnished and had everything we needed. Betty even had lovely home baked scones for us which was a nice touch. We couldn't have asked for more and hope to go back.

We had a fabulous stay at the cottage. Betty and Terry were there to greet us and tell us all about the cottage. The cottage itself was lovely, very clean and the decor was lovely. It was also very well equipped with everything you need even some fresh milk, tea and coffee. The beds were lovely and comfortable and there was plenty of room for our family of 6. The village is very pretty and peaceful and the views from the hill at the back of the cottage were outstanding. All in all the cottage was fabulous - the freshly baked scones we received were delicious!!

Beautiful, tastefully decorated home which is kept in great condition. Hosts are brilliant, explained all that was needed to know.... very good communication and easy to check in and out! Very close to the beach and harbour... or stroll out the back gate and capture the view from beside the church! Ideal location and cottage for family, friends alike! We had the added advantage of some aurora borealis viewing too! Lovely village, friendly folks too!

Wonderful cottage so nicely decorated and appointed from the delightful soaps and shampoos to the soft silky breed linens. And warm homemade scones I welcome us. Betty and Terry were so helpful and accommodating pointing out areas of interest and sharing interesting trips for us to take.

We have really been enjoying our stay at this adorable cottage. The location is absolutely clean and all the beautiful home accesories and the newly picked flowers in every room made it very cozy. You can find everything you need for a pleasant stay. The windows provides a wonderful view to the sea. The surroundings and the landscape are charming, you can directly go for a very long walk along the coast from the cottage. Every single person we met was kind, obliging and accomadating. We can absolutely recommend this location.

superb location, host is friendly and extremely helpful. the cottage is just idyllic. the locals are friendly and helpful too. we had a wonderful time, walking miles along the beach, hills and discovering just how breathtaking the whole area is. lots of places to eat, or just sit and have a coffee and watch the world go by. we will definitely come back again. thank you for sharing your treasure with us. on the day before we left, we had the pleasure of seeing dolphins and seals!!!! perfect!!!

What a fantastic place, we both fell in love with it. Morven made sure that there was breakfast items waiting for us when we got in. The cottage was clean and tidy and all the little touches, such as the fresh flowers made it really homely. The views from the Windows was fantastic over looking the see. On the last day we watched the dolphins coming in. We will definitely be coming back here again.

This cottage is in a stunning location, with amazing views and walks on the doorstep. The host was great with communication, and even left some food in the kitchen upon arrival. We liked it so much we got in touch to extend our stay, which we were able to do. Overall highly recommended!

Absolutely fantastic place, clean, loved the decor and the carpets were like walking on clouds :) amazing view over the sea from bedroom and livingroom. Will definitely come back to stay again :) loved the kitchen and I would say the heating was spot on!! Hopefully will be able to come back soon - have recommended this place to all my friends.
