  • Had a great stay here, very easy to find with google maps and well organised on arrival. We were provided with everything we needed for a quiet night away! (including helpful tractor ride to the hut!) We would definitely book again - hopefully with better weather!

    Jacob2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous host Jared took us up to the hut via tractor which was an added bonus Just one with nature and the stars were perfect .... shooting stars galore .... despite the freezing chill and wind it was cosy and warm in the hut with the peat burning stove. Away from electricity and Wi-fi and a night under the stars was just what the doctor ordered. We will be back Go check it out

Our farm is situated on the banks of the River Earn and Strathearn is renowned for it's spectacular scenery. Crieff is the bustling local town with numerous coffee shops and beautiful McCrosty Park. The oldest lending library in Scotland Innerpeffray Library is only a mile along the road. The Famous Grouse experience is only 2 miles a way and Drummond castle and it's stunning gardens are only a 1 mile outside of Crieff. There are many golf courses within a short distance including Gleneagles, Muthill, Comrie and St Fillans. (St Andrews is just under an hour and a half away) There are some excellent restaurants in the area including Andrew Fairlie at Gleneagles, The Barley Bree in Muthill, Yanns in Crieff. Also The Lounge and Delvinnos and the excellent farm shop/cafe at Gloagburn is about 20mins away along the valley. Approx 40mins away along the Earn side road and past the banks of Lochearn you will find Mhor 84 which is a fantastic all day cafe/restaurant serving food all day with homemade cakes/bread etc. We are particularly keen on food and cooking and would love to give any advice on best places to eat/buy food etc. Crieff also has one of the best Fish Shops in Scotland 'Fish in Crieff' selling hake/turbot/razor clams/mussels/crab/tuna etc. We are also lucky that the fantastic new Crieff Food Hall has recently opened in the High Street selling top quality ingredients, delicious home made recipes to take home and heat up and also a coffee shop/cafe downstairs.

Thoughtfully stocked fridge of some local produce, super comfy bed and lounge area, beautiful setting with a gorgeous private veranda for taking in the rolling fields plus it’s very easy to get to. The hillside cottage is surrounded by awesome views. It is perfect for those looking for a quiet romantic hideaway, away from it all. About a mile up a private single track, you'll only have sheep and wildlife to disturb you. The cottage has a fully-equipped kitchen, a hot tub and DVD library. Its also completely powered by hydro electricity with delicious spring water to drink.
High on a hill, with spectacular open views, to be enjoyed inside via the french doors in the living room, the stable door in the kitchen, or sit outside by the barbecue or lounge in the hot tub on the terrace. The kitchen is fully equipped for dining in and the cosy living room is stocked with DVD library, books and a selection of our favourite games for entertainment on a rainy day as you sit by the log burning fire.
Darks skies at night, absolutely no light or noise pollution, apart from wildlife and farm animals that is!
  • We had a wonderful relaxing trip away which had everything we could have possibly wanted to leave the city behind without travelling miles and miles. Alexandra was an excellent host - very clear and helpful communication and the cottage was clean and very welcoming.

    Kirsty2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • By far the best air bnb we have stayed in, everything was perfect!

    Neil2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Brae Cottage is the perfect place for a relaxing break away from it all. Situated high on a hillside with stunning views of the surrounding Perthshire countryside. The cottage is beautifully decorated with luxury fittings throughout and is equipped with everything you could possibly need. We loved the log burner which provides a hefty helping of cosiness once blazing away and warms up the whole cottage. The cottage also has a wide and varied DVD collection, a variety of board games as well as a record player with eclectic selection of LPs - We thoroughly enjoyed all of these little touches. The hot tub is another wonderful luxury and makes the most of the incredible surrounding views. The cottage is situated within the grounds of the Monzie Estate, the centre of which is the impressive Monzie Castle, we took advantage of a tour around the castle given by the owners of the estate which was both interesting and fun and I would recommend if the opportunity arises. Our only recommendation would be that if you're taking your dog be sure to keep it on the lead when walking nearby, the land around the cottage is a working farm and whilst it may appear there is no livestock close by, the land is very undulating and they could be grazing very nearby. To summarise, if you're looking for a tranquil and relaxing break away from it all then we would highly recommend Brae Cottage - We were very sad to leave.

    Andrew2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very relaxing Christmas break at Brae Cottage, very secluded and perfect for a quiet getaway. Hot tub was brilliant and the extra touches such as chocolate brownies and bottle of fizz were much appreciated. Thanks very much.

    Mark2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Monzie Estate was a very special romantic weekend away celebrating my fiancé’s birthday. The cottage was spotlessly clean, cosy and stylish and the view and walks around Monzie are breathtakingly beautiful. We even had a Barn Owl greet us as we arrived at night driving towards the cottage for the very first time. The owl flew from one fence post to the other and then disappeared into the empty farmhouse nearby the cottage. Relaxing peacefully in the hot tub under the stars with a bottle of bubbly was also magical. We loved our stay so much that we requested an extra night and Alexandra was really quick to respond, flexible and accommodating allowing us to stay an extra night with a good offer. There are some beautiful walks all around Monzie and we had some nice meals out in Crieff which is only a few miles away. We’ve also walked up Knock Hill which is a special local walk that is short and steep but worth every step to see the panoramic view of Perthshire. The cottage had the most wonderful roaring fire and had some nice touches including a complimentary bottle of bubbly and homemade chocolate brownies which were delicious. We’d like to book again in the near future and will be recommending this as a special place to stay in Perthshire. Cassie, Michael & Harley

  • Perfect, perfect and even more perfect!!!

    Juliet2019-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • A stunning cottage, high on a hillside in the middle of nowhere! Absolute bliss ❤️ we couldn’t have asked for more, even our little cockapoo loved every second. Stargazing from the hot tub at night was one of the most incredible experiences + waking to be greeted by highland cows at the bottom of the garden was just fab. Thank you to the estate’s shepherd for the morning walk recommendations. Highly recommend for couples who want a high quality romantic getaway a short drive from civilisation but remote enough to feel completely secluded. Thank you Brae Cottage x

  • Amazing house, really feels like a mini castle. Lovely and quiet. Jonny gave us various recommendations in the area and we found plenty to do.

    David2020-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • The absolute kindest hosts, we felt immediately welcomed into the home. The space is beautiful, full of rich history and something to look at in every corner. Sparkling clean and incredibly comfortable bed. I cannot recommend enough, it was a perfect place to spend a night while traveling Scotland.

    Amy2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • What an awesome stay! We stayed here on our first night in Scotland and we couldn’t have picked a more perfect place, the bedroom was so cosy and comfortable and the house is decorated in an absolutely charming traditional Scottish style. We were so excited, it truly feels like an immersive castle experience. The bed was made up with lovely cosy, clean linens and the lighting from the faux candle stick style lamps was so lovely that we had to watch Harry Potter — not to do so would have been a wasted opportunity! The bathroom has a great shower, the water pressure is awesome. We met with Jonny on arrival and he’s just the best, super welcoming and he gave us a HEAP of recommendations on where to visit, which were all really helpful because we’re not great planners and only had a couple of activities planned at the outset. We were even allowed to meet their three sweet ponies, which a real highlight! The town is within walking distance, we had a car though so it was even closer to the restaurants and shops. Could not recommend this place enough, great lodging, great hosts! We will definitely be back on our next trip to Scotland! Thanks so much guys!

  • Evie’s house is wonderful! Soaring ceilings, intricate woodwork and a glorious skylight. A group of ten of us stayed extremely comfortably, gathering around the warmth of the Aga for hearty breakfasts, and out in the lovely garden to admire the roses. Evie made everyone feel welcome and provided all the information we needed. A good base for trips into Edinburgh or out into the Trossachs and Loch Lomond. Would highly recommend.

We were also brought fresh logs very quickly when we ran out! We had everything we needed, and Antonia’s communication and hospitality was amazing.

Antonia was the hostess with the mostess; nothing was a bother and always went above and beyond to make our stay really enjoyable. Highly recommend!

  • Nicki's place in Alva, Clackmannan, is a gorgeous oasis of calm with a boutique feel. It is beautifully decorated throughout whilst also feeling comfortable and relaxing. The property is cosy with enough space to relax comfortably in the shared living room, or have a meal at the kitchen breakfast bar. The guest room is comfortable and spacious enough for single traveller or couple, with lovely touches, including scented candles, bedside lamp, a cosy blanket, and soft fluffy towels. The bathroom has a shower with option of rainforest or standard shower heads with good water pressure. Nicki is a friendly and bubbly host who could not have done more to make me feel welcome, whilst also very respectful of my personal space. The location is easily accessible by car or transport links (buses and trains). Local food stores and restaurants are a short walk, with more options a few minutes drive into Alloa, or Bridge of Allan, or Stirling. I would highly recommend Nicki's place for your next trip to or near Stirling. You'll be glad you stopped by.

    Amanda2020-01-10T00:00:00Z

There was plenty of wood for the woodstove and all utensils and amenities included. The cottage was sparkling clean and we couldn't have asked for a better stay. The Arns Cottage has been beautifully converted from a traditional stone built stables into a cosy, luxurious retreat. Located within the gardens of the main house and accessible down a farm track, the cottage is surrounded by the stunning Perthshire Hills. It is in a perfectly central location for exploring Scotland - 15 mins from Perth and an hour's drive from Edinburgh, Glasgow and St Andrews, 2 miles from Auchterarder and only 4 miles from the world famous Gleneagles Hotel. Sorry no pets!
The Arns Cottage has been lovingly restored to a very high standard with lots of luxurious finishes. It has underfloor heating throughout the ground floor, a well-stocked open fire, luxuriously crisp Egyptian cotton bed linen, a stash of traditional games and of course a generous welcome pack of goodies. Our own homemade jam/marmalade, bread, some free range eggs and a chilled bottle of wine to name but a few.
Once you exit the main road to Auchterader, The Arns Cottage is accessed half a mile down a farm track. Therefore, a vehicle is highly recommended for your stay, although not a complete necessity, as the town of Auchterader is only a half hour's walk away.
  • Katie was the perfect host. We've stayed at many b&bs and self catering places in Scotland and our experience at Arns cottage topped them all. Katie was kind, helpful and spot on in her recommendations for local venues. A homey, stylish & immaculate cottage with a functioning fireplace welcomed us home from our daily travels Thanks, Katie- we hope to return!

  • Such a gorgeous little cottage, loved staying there so much and can’t recommend it enough! Very clean and had everything I needed, fire and underfloor heating was my favourite! But I stayed here on my own and felt very safe and comfortable. Lovely location, close enough to the high street and all local amenities but still feel like you’re away from it all. Katie was brilliant and was on hand to answer any questions I had.

  • Have just returned from a few days in this excellent lodge. When we arrived we were met by the lovely Maretta who explained where everything was and how everything worked. The lodge was very clean and modern and a real home from home with everything you could possibly need and more. We also loved the home baking! The lodge is set in a peaceful location with the local Dunning hotel a 10 min walk away, the meal we had was first class and not expensive all all. Over all we had a fantastic time and look forward to returning (hopefully in the better weather) in the near future.

We’re always happy to share our personal recommendations for places to go and things to do. In the meantime, here are just some of the attractions in our wonderful area.
  • Fabulous location with great views. Katie was a happy and thoughtful host who recommended a lovely pub for our evening meal. Great place to stay, sparkling clean and good value

  • Beautiful spotless lodge!! Breakfast was delightful. If going again I would make sure the dogs had a large walk as there isn’t anywhere to walk them as the field is full of sheep directly outside the lodge.

    Caroline2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The accommodation is first class and is quirky but very comfortable and in a lovely rural location but a short drive from good local food and amenities, highly recommended

  • We had a lovely one night stay in one of these lovely pods. It was very clean and had everything you could need. The breakfast hamper in the morning was amazing and a lovely touch. Katie couldn’t have been more helpful! Will definitely be back.

  • We flew into Edinburgh and needed a place to stay for one night before heading up to the highlands. This place is awesome - would definitely come here again. The hosts are very friendly, and brought us a delicious breakfast in the morning. If you do stay here make sure you eat at the Kirkstyle Inn in Dunning. It’s a very cosy friendly pub with great food.

    Graham2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in the pod on Saturday night, it was a perfect weekend getaway and was much better than expected. Hospitality was great, and we really enjoyed the comfy beds and an amazing view from the pod. Would highly recommend!

    Anastasia2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic stay - so clean and cosy with a big spacious bathroom. Wonderful views and breakfast being delivered was a perfect touch. Our 7 month old german shepherd loved starting out the window over the fields - would definitely recommend and great value for money!

Auchterarder 30 has been lovingly renovated by Pat Renson Interiors. Already featured in the Press and loved by all who visit and stay there this cottage is a little different from your average rental. Behind the traditional stone facade of this one bedroomed terraced cottage lies an interior designed to inspire, provide comfort and perfect relaxation. The cottage is located the heart of the vibrant town of Auchterarder and only a few minutes drive to the the famous Gleneagles Hotel
Step into Auchterarder 30 and you'll find yourself in a very stylish living space with everything you need to kick back and relax. Snuggle up on the beautiful sofa, pop some logs on the wood burning stove and listen to your favourite tunes on the Sonos speaker, or catch a movie on the Smart tv. Alternatively, you can sit back and enjoy a glass of wine with views of the pretty garden from the sun room just off the lounge. The garden offers another perfect spot to relax; under the pergola on the comfy sofa. And, when the sun drops away, the festoon lights and the fire pit make this area just lovely in the evening. Time to eat. The beautiful well-equipped kitchen with its gorgeous design and bespoke tiling, comes fully fitted with all the essentials, including an induction hob to help create a delectable dish for your loved one! Enjoy your meal while perched on the stools at the breakfast bar or at the table in the sun room, the choice is yours! Upstairs is equally special. The dual aspect bedroom is open plan to the staircase. It has a stunning superking bed and to help you unwind, a hugely indulgent cast iron bath tub. The separate bathroom has luxury fittings a plenty, including underfloor heating and a drench shower. The fluffy towels and bath robes will be sure to give you that spa experience.
Auchterarder is a small town which packs a big punch! The bustling high street has all the usual amenities including a fantastic bakery, some great cafes, a lovely art gallery and a delicious pizzeria. And, of course the very special Gleneagles Hotel is only 5 minutes drive from Auchterarder 30. This playground is fantastic with its golf courses, beautiful spa and Andrew Fairlies Michelin starred restaurant is a must! Nestled in the beautiful Perthshire countryside, Auchterarder is a fantastic location for walking and cycling and a great base to get out and about to some of Scotland's best tourist attractions. We've got distilleries, castles, palaces and historic buildings a plenty, within a 30 minute drive and if you want to stretch out further, you can be in the Trossachs National Park in 40 minutes or at the beautiful beaches of the East Neuk of Fife, including St Andrews, in just over an hour. Auchterarder 30, is located in a residential area within a few minutes walk of the High Street. It offers on street parking.

  • The cottage was the perfect base for a family trip away. Plenty of walks and family attractions in the local area and Crieff is only 5 min drive away. The kitchen was fully equipped and Shona left a bottle of wine and biscuits as a welcome gift which was a nice touch. It was immaculately clean. We brought our dog and the mud room at the front of the cottage was equipped with towels for drying him before coming into the house. The weather was really poor when we were there but the cottage was cosy with the log burner and had more than enough to keep us entertained. Would definitely recommend.

    Siobhan2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • I highly recommend Corrie Cottage and Shona was a really wonderful host. The cottage was so warm and cosy and delightfully clean. It is really well equipped and beautifully furnished and it had everything we needed. I had such a nice time there. Thank you so much Shona.

  • Corrie Cottage is absolutely lovey! You can tell they thought of every detail. So beautifully decorated, spotless clean, great location, contains all items you need for bedroom & kitchen and a fenced backyard for our dog to play in. Shona is an amazing host - she quickly responded to all questions, had fresh flowers in the kitchen and left us the most delicious welcome treats. Highly recommend!! Thank you!!

  • A haven away from home. Very stylish decor, immaculately clean, thoughtful extras (games, magazines, dvds, homemade cake (yum!) ), cosy logburner, fantastic local attractions for adults and kids - great value for money!

    Peter2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • A weekend stay at Shonas place Corrie cottage was a Xmas present and I had no idea what to expect. I was also joined by my mum and two other 80 year old friends of hers. Shona was incredibly helpful and patient with all the pre questions I asked to make sure the cottage worked for our group. We arrived to a lovely warm cottage, scrupulously clean, with a lovely welcome note, some wine ( demolished) and plum cake which was gorgeous. Our stay could not have been better, the cottage is very cosy and warm with two lovely bedrooms a bathroom with constant hot shower and a fab kitchen dining room with lovely views over Crieff. Easy to find and very peaceful. Attention to detail throughout the cottage is lovely and the cottage has a super well kept garden. Highly recommended , hope to go back

This traditional flat in a city centre townhouse was originally built in 1800, but has been updated for modern day living, whilst still keeping a traditional feel. It has been newly renovated. In easy walking distance to Castle and Old Jail (5 minutes) It is a lovely place to stay right in the city centre with everything to settle in and cook at home, or walk out the front door and be in a variety of shops, bars and restaurants in minutes. It is clean and comfortable.
Lounge room and kitchen with cooker and a good selection of cooking utensils, the bedroom has a Kingsize bed. The bathroom has a good strong shower.
  • This little flat is ideal for a couple who want to explore Stirling. Large comfy bedroom, a comfortable living area with good dining table for 2. The kitchen had all the essentials and teabags. There was soap, shampoo and shower gels in the bathroom and the shower nice and hot. Wi-Fi worked well and the temperature controls very easy to use (It was chilly outside but the flat nice and warm!). Parking available too. Would definitely recommend and stay again next time I'm in Stirling.

  • The room has a very nice view and is very comfortable. Despite a somewhat complicated arrival, we were made to feel very welcome. And what a superb breakfast !!

    Julie2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • The welcome could not have been warmer, as we were greeted by Jasenka (Ivana’s Mum) with hot drinks. The bedroom was spacious, and the bed very comfortable with a memory foam mattress. Everywhere clean, fresh and with attractive decor. Very warm too. We had a good chat with Jasenka before going out for the evening. Next morning she had prepared a delightful breakfast, more than ample for our needs. Cereals, bread, preserves, cheese, cold meat, orange juice, pancakes and a Croatian dish of pancakes with cottage cheese and sour cream which were delicious. Our visit certainly exceeded our expectations, and we would recommend to anyone.

    Valerie2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • We were greeted by Jasenka, Ivana's mother, who was very attentive to us right away, preparing slippers for us. Heart shaped chocolates were waiting for us on the bed ☺️ (Valentine's Day) We were able to chat over a hot tea when we arrived. The room is comfortable and very clean. Upon awakening, a King's breakfast awaited us. Jasenka was very welcoming and friendly, open and friendly. A rare quality hostess! Our best Rbnb experience. Thank you very much ! We will come back !

  • Excellent value for money. good location for public travel, sightseeing, walking into town. Excellent takeaways and pubs near by walking distance. The breakfast provided for no extra harge was fabulous. I arrived late and it was dark and made very welcome with coffee and home made snacks. Linen smelt fresh, bed was comfortable. Only negative was no wifi which is not a bad thing at all as it gave me a reality check and life without wifi was good. I cheated used the wifi on my phone!. Very good local knowledge and able to give directions .Fabulous host and will stay again.

    Daniel2020-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great stay at Ivana's. The room is immaculate, large and had everything we needed. Great value, very hospitable, I'd highly recommend staying.

We arrived in the late evening and the host had made us some food (although we didn’t eat it as we had already just eaten). The host was really hospitable and also said she can make us whatever we wanted for breakfast. We left in the morning so were happy with our stay.

My place is in the Tillicoultry village centre, near parks, bus routes to Stirling, Dollar, Alloa, Bicycle paths, walking treks, Dollar, Restaurants, Bank, Pubs, Café's. You’ll love my place because of it's ambiance. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and families (with kids).
It's totally refurbished, sleeps up to 4 people, self contained, has Sky TV and Wi-Fi, washing machine, dining table, sofa bed, cooking facilities, cleaning service if needed, Iron, Hair dryer, TV with Sky in bedroom, dressing table and is Scottish themed.
It's quiet and right at the bottom on the Ochils.

  • William was really kind and friendly to us. His home responds perfectly to the description: clean, tidy, equipped kitchen and bathroom, free parking a few meters away, easy access, plenty of sheets / blankets and towels, just a few minutes drive from Stirling. Thanks William!

  • The owner has gone to great lengths with cleanliness and comfort in his cottage. Centrally situated so very handy for local shops & takeaways. Would use again.

  • Very nice and clean cottage with a comfy bed, beautiful living room and a little kitchen and bathroom. A lot of very nice details in every corner. Loved it here. Thank you very much! :)

  • My husband and I stayed at William's cottage over Christmas as we were visiting family nearby. The place was perfect for what we needed, the bed was comfy with clean sheets and towels. The bathroom and kitchen were well equipped with toiletries and tea/coffee etc. We were greeted on arrival and received a welcome gift of some mince pies. The living area is comfortable and clean with lovely decor and a nice Christmas Tree. We would highly recommend William's place for a stay in Tillicoultry.

A cosy room in spacious, charming barn conversion in super-quiet rural setting. Excellent touring base for many of Perthshire's beautiful sites and activities. Decorated to high standard with two guest-only bath/shower rooms and exclusive use of large lounge featuring wood-burner stove and spectacular views across Strathearn Valley to Ochil Hills. Private guest entrance and annex offer secluded accommodation with host available for advice but not intrusive.
Guests stay in a dedicated annex with exclusive use of separate shower and bathroom. The guest room is adjacent to the 'library', a private workspace with table, wifi, and facilities to make hot drinks. Downstairs is a spacious guest lounge with magnificent views across the Strathearn Valley and a wood burner stove for chilly nights. The Barn is exceptionally quiet offering a chance genuinely to escape from the demands of everyday life, whether you submerge into the depths of the luxury bath or into the atmosphere of meditative tranquillity. For those of a more active bent, The Barn is ideally situated in the heart of Perthshire for day trips to dozens of local attractions and activities - a perfect base for touring.
The Barn is set in the middle of arable farmland with woodland and a small lake nearby, and sits along the 'Gask Ridge', a line of frontier forts constructed by the ancient Romans. The general area is fringed by Ochil Hills, Trossachs and Grampian mountains and rests within the sweep of the Earn River Valley (Strathearn). Closer to home find market towns of Crieff, Auchterader and Comrie, boasting a good range of cafes, restaurants and local walks. For golf enthusiasts, the world renowned Gleneagles golf centre is only 10 minutes away (and there are many other excellent golf courses in the area). Those who are more inclined to lift their glasses will find Glenturret (Scotland's oldest working distillery) and Tullibardine distilleries nearby.
  • Sparkling clean, beautifully presented and situated in a stunning location! My partner and I had a wonderful time staying at the Barn. Our stay was in the middle of storm Dennis and Tracy could not have been more accommodating with suggestions of where we could eat, and offering us snacks when we decided not to brave the storm! Would highly recommend!

  • Hi Tracy and Bob, Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with me and my boyfriend. We had such a great evening and really enjoyed chilling out in the Barn. Thanks again for the hospitality. We really enjoyed the glass of red when we got back after dinner. Hope Bob gets the PhD finished soon. All the best. Melissa and Chris.

  • This is a great place to stay don’t miss out on this fabulous accommodation it’s like staying in a 5 star country house.Great welcome, communication first class.Lovely touches a glass of wine on Friday evening and a great breakfast.Dont delay book today and stunning views and places to visit.

  • Tracy and Robert are excellent hosts and matched by their high quality accommodation offering, matched by its stunningly beautiful, tranquil, idyllic location. The sunrises are outstanding and driving back and seeing the sun set was like watching an African sky. Fantastic part of Scotland. The nearest village is Madderty and Muthill and its a short drive to Crieff and Perth, we travelled widely when there as it presented a perfect base. If you love your golf, Gleneagles is 10 minutes away but ask yourself why stay there with its mass market offering all contained on site. If that's your type of holiday fair play as it is indeed a world class facility. But if I was a golfer I would see a truly intimate, 5 star experience in beautiful surroundings and a short drive to the course, which is indeed beautiful and now golfers are booking in, I might have to wrestle them for the door key now I have found this gem of a place. People that now me know that I don't over egg the pudding and this was my genuine experience of a wonderful place, located in one of the best parts of Scotland with superlative friendly, kind hosts where nothing is too much trouble and we will certainly stay again. You will not be disappointed.

  • Stayed here for nearly 4 weeks quite place to stay so clean and tidy. 😀

    Sukh2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had two stays, one for 2 weeks and then we decided to go for another week as the place is very practical for a long term business stay. It has all the practical things you need, cooker, washing machine, TV, access to great hikes. The shop for refilling electricity and gas is right across the street. There was nothing we really missed. As per previous review, the decor is quite basic, but I find that to be a minor thing in my opinion, considering you get the entire flat for yourself. Great stay.

    Camilla Beate2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • The location is great, it has beautiful hills right at your doorstep for hiking, it's a quiet little village within short driving distance to Dunfermline and Stirling. Thanks to the detailed description the flat was easy to find, the key was in a lockbox and we could let ourselves in. The flat itself is basic in decor, but has a fully stacked kitchen, TV and washing machine, which makes this ideal for a longer term stay or for work trips. The reason we chose this place was due to having full privacy, and also very important, a great price. For what you get, this place is steal. John have been an excellent host, who has replied promptly to any queries. The only (minor) downside would be that there is no internet and we were unable to access the pub wi-fi from the flat. If we weren't moving into the area ourselves, I would definitively book another stay in the future.

Home of the famous Sterling furniture warehouse and Sterling Mills Tillicoultry is a thriving small village in central Scotland. Boasting a rich history in the textile industry Tillicoultry is the ideal location for a walking break in the Ochil hills. My favourite local walk is Ben Cleuch, a nine mile trek which takes you up the famous Law hill The Village is surrounded in rich Scottish history with Stirling Caste,The Wallace monument and the site of the Battle of Bannockburn all in a Ten miles radius. A short train journey takes you to Edinburgh or Glasgow either is a great day trip.

  • We were house hunting in the area and needed a base for 4 days whilst in Stirling. Duncan's place exceeded our expectations, it's sparkling clean, modern and really comfortable. Duncan is a great host and the breakfast was an amazing touch. We drove to Stirling/Dunblane every day and the drive in was easy and scenic. Definitely recommend!

  • Wonderful stay with a wonderful view and a terrific host, Duncan was helpful and very nice, the bedroom I stayed in had a very soft and cozy bed complete with other little tidbits, even coffee and cookies, as well as additional supplies for guests in the pantry, I had a great time in the very stylish apartment and would recommend this place to anyone who needs a stay around Stirling or Alloa

  • Amazing place to stay, great host with a really well designed recently done up home and very welcoming. Lovely garden space.

  • Good price/quality if you have a car!

    Glenn2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Duncan is a very nice and helpful host who quickly responds to news. The house is very clean, there is a fully equipped kitchen and every morning is ready for breakfast. The room is clear and clean, there is heating available, which I appreciated in October. And from the window to look right on the hills beyond the city. In addition, the house is in a great location - walks up the hill and the waterfalls it is about 5 minutes and bus within 30 minutes to a lot of monuments and the castle in the area. If I have my way back to Stirling, I will be happy to come back here.
