    Cozy private apartment in the back of Louisville's oldest Tavern. Front room has a love seat, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker and TV. Bedroom has queen sized bed with plush pillow top mattress, foam and down alternative pillows, desk area, closet space. Perfect for a couples getaway or your work week. This is a small but well appointed space located in the back of a neighborhood tavern. Bar goes until 4 am most nights but the apartment does not have any noise bleed over. The space has been updated with modern conveniences. Private entrance with easy parking. Private unit with front living room equipped with love seat, microwave and refrigerator. The bedroom has a queen bed, nightstand, and reading light. Unit also has its own stand-up shower, vanity, toilet and closet area. We love it when people hang out for a beverage or bite to eat. Live music Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Open Mic Comedy on Monday. Homemade Fried Chicken on Tuesday. Karaoke on Thursday. Check out is easy. Just lock the door with key pad. (before 11am please) Excellent restaurants and bars are within minutes of the apartment. Close to downtown, Butchertown, Waterfront Park. Uber, Lyft and cab service is easy to get. Great place to stop in for a weekend or a week! Easy access to everywhere you want to be!
    Frankfort Avenue a short walk away being just one block south of us with many great local restaurants. Varanese, Volare, Porcini, Fork and Barrel, The Craft House are all worth a visit. Mellwood Arts Center, Champions Park, Mint Julip Tours and Apocalypse Brewery are all an easy walk. Bardstown Road is a great nightlife area about 2 miles away from the Tavern. Butchertown and Nulu are 1 mile away with lots of restaurants. Downtown and 4th Street Live are 2 1/2 miles away.

    Come enjoy this newly updated loft located in the popular Louisville neighborhood of Crescent Hill. The loft is equipped with wifi internet, TV, and kitchen supplies. You will be within walking distance to some of the most popular establishments in Louisville; including Blue Dog Bakery, Heine Bros, and the Crescent Hill Craft House.
    The loft is in a carriage house located in the back of our wooded city lot. It is separate from the family house and guests will be given an access code to come and go as they wish. It is located in a family friendly neighborhood and is within walking distance of bustling Frankfort Avenue and some of the finest shops, restaurants, coffee shops, and bars.
    The Crescent Hill neighborhood is one of the most sought after places to stay in the city. The last Friday of every summer month features a Trolley Hop event that highlights the best area shops and offers free trolley transportation up and down Frankfort Avenue. It is not to worry if your stay does not overlap with the last Friday in the month because the loft is located within walking distance of these restaurants and shops. There is a bookstore, bread company, coffee shop, library, wine shop, and restaurants all within a 2-3 block radius.
  • Matt and Mandy’s place is in a great location within walking distance to restaurants, shops and (my favorite) a great local bookstore on Frankfort Ave. Also it is a short drive to many other vibrant areas in town. It is in a separate carriage house in the backyard of an older home in a safe, established neighborhood, so don’t expect modern and new. It is clean, reasonably priced and very charming. It is as pictured, so just know you have to climb a ladder to get to the sleeping loft. The bed is comfortable and the space is cozy. We had plenty of pillows, blankets and towels. The hosts responded quickly to messages and check in was easy.

    This generously appointed residence is situated in Louisville’s historic and quickly evolving, Butchertown neighborhood, the city’s original meatpacking district, with butcher shops dominating the area. The first homes in this enclave were built in the 1820s. Historic and modern elements are captured in this comfortable and finely-restored 100-year-old residence. This private suite features exposed original brick work, concrete and carpeted floors, and is decorated with local artwork, as well as one queen sized bed, with memory foam mattress. A well-appointed bathroom features tiled floors and a beautiful shower with glass doors. Even though this unit is on the first floor, there is ample natural light, as well as a desk for working. Mini fridges and microwaves occupy every unit, though freezers and access to ice are unavailable. Laundry facilities are on-site for guest use (located on the second floor). Parking on-site, and street parking on both sides throughout the week. The first floor street front has a commercial office space. Ocm offered a book with really helpful tips of places to eat and drink and a wonderful historic overview of the Louisville neighborhoods.     LONG TERM STAY - A minimum of a 30 day stay. Longer stays are welcome. This is just 3 houses from Frankfort Avenue with lots of shops, great dining and entertainment all within walking distance. If you enjoy walking, you are just minutes away from the walking bridge, (to Indiana side, it's about 1 mile). Take an afternoon, have lunch and then check out the Schempff's candy shop. It's 126 years old with a small candy museum next door, (no charge). Great location and so many things to do.
    This unique, 115 year old home, with lots of character and charm, has been completely renovated. Everything you need is here. Take a walk during the day and enjoy the front porch in the evening with your favorite beverage.
    Great neighborhood. Lots of sidewalks for walking.

The only thing is the description said the whole house was what we were renting, and we arrived late at night to find out people live upstairs. It was fine for during the stay, but we just weren’t expecting it.

  • Absolutely the nicest property we've stayed in the Clifton area. Check-in and communications are great. Owners are very nice, even removed snow from our stairs after overnight weather and gave us complete privacy. Property is perfect for two people. It's tucked away for privacy but easy access to the Clifton neighborhood/Frankfort Ave. The Space is very modern, clean and a comfortable home for a few days. We make many trips to Louisville each year and i'll always look for this place first when booking!

  • Beautiful place to stay! I loved the dual control of temperature in each space so my bedroom could be cooler than my living space. The kitchen was great and I loved having a dishwasher. I did not need the washer and dryer but they were located right in the unit which was very nice. The full flight of steps to the space are fine but take your time with heavy or large suitcases. The tv was great with cable channels and the couch was very comfortable. The shower is brand new with beautiful tile. The hot water was quick. I will be keeping this place as one to use again when I visit for work!!

    This is a loft apartment on the third floor, so the the private entrance is up 3 flights of stairs. You will also notice from the photos that there is a bathtub, not a shower. There is a shower head with a hose though.
    This is the Highlands, so it is a walking neighborhood. It is literally steps from diverse cuisine, hip shops and galleries, antique stores, and plenty of pubs.

  • Very nice! Love the dog park across the street. Very walkable area! The stairs are steep and dark at night. But very doable. Street parking available but gets busy on Friday and Saturday nights due to the establishments in the area. The place was very roomy. You could hear every word the downstairs tenants said but was noticeable more in the evening. I do not watch tv so it could have been less noticeable if I had the tv on. Very minor things. I would definitely stay again if I ever have the opportunity to visit Louisville again!! Thank you!!!

    At the carriage house you have access to the patio garden where you can enjoy a meal or a quiet drink. In addition there’s a twin sized loft bed. The space is small, cute and cozy! (The loft can be used for sleeping or storing luggage.) Note that if you are sleeping in the loft and the sleeper sofa is open you can’t use the ladder. The ladder can be used when the the sleeper sofa is closed.
    We live on a quiet street in the Clifton Historic District between Frankfort and Brownsboro Avenues. A short walk to restaurants and Kroger Supermarket.

    Diverse urban multi-use ( residential, business, warehouse) neighborhood in the southeast area of downtown Louisville that is close to everything. Logan is a one way street, and we have convenient on street parking available right in front of our house. We also have secured parking for one vehicle at the back of our property, accessible from the back alley. Please let us know if you would like to use this option so we can show you how it works. There are dogs on the block and they do bark. It's not quiet like in the suburbs-Louisville is a large exciting city- but our home is and the neighbors usually are too.

  • Dawn and Jerry were fabulous hosts. The property was small, as expected from the photos, but suited with all of the amenities you could imagine from shampoo and razors to puppy paw cloths. It did not feel cramped in the slightest. They also had the fridge ready with creamer and other necessities, as well as fresh muffins out on the counter. It was very welcoming, clean, and easy to access. Welcoming our two mini dachshunds was a great bonus for us! The residence is a short drive (5-8 mins) from downtown, however does not appear to be in the best neighborhood. There were several large abandoned buildings on the street (out of their control). Overall, we felt extremely safe with the gate and door code system (which also made check in a breeze). Also, neighbors we encountered were friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend!!!

You can tell that Dawn and Jerry have gone to a lot of effort to make their guests as comfortable as possible. I was able to park right in front, which was great.     Beautiful 3000 square foot house that is nicely decorated and well maintained. Nice outdoor space. Driveway accommodates several cars. Close to fine dining and downtown. Convenient location as home base for your bourbon trail experience. I have two king size beds, one full size bed, two twin beds, 2 rollaway beds with memory foam mattresses, a queen size sofa sleeper with memory foam mattress, pack and play and 2 highchairs for those of you traveling with infants. I do have an additional full size air mattress. For coffee lovers I have a 14 cup drip pot, a Keurig and a small French press. Grab bar for guest bathroom available upon request. The exterior of this property is protected by security cameras.
    My home is located off of and in walking distance of historic Frankfort Avenue. Frankfort Avenue has some of the best restaurants in Louisville. Close to all the really great things to do in Louisville. Also close to grocery store, drug store and library. There are some beautiful parks in the area as well. 10 minutes from downtown. 20 minutes from Churchill Downs.

  • Honestly, the pictures of Mary’s place don’t do it justice. It is beautifully designed, the rooms are bigger than they looked online, and everything is great quality (beds, pillows, etc.). There was tons of room for our group of 10 to hang out and sleep. Plus, it’s so well appointed - had everything you could need in a kitchen and thoughtful extras, like coffee (and sweetener/creamer), toiletries in the bathrooms, and a bowl full of various chargers, just in case you forgot yours. It’s also a great location - just minutes from downtown, Nulu, the Highlands, St. Matthews, and walkable to many great bars/restaurants on Frankfort Ave. I would HIGHLY recommend!

    Great Value and in Louisville's best neighborhood. Your space is a bright newly decorated bedroom with a very comfortable queen bed, room darkening shades, ceiling fan, smart tv, wireless, white noise machine, some closet space and full length mirror. The full bath is just two steps across the hallway. It is stocked with everything you need. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
    Enjoy your private bathroom equipped with shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer, shower gel etc. The bathroom has a nice tiled shower and fresh linens. Your bedroom is nice and cozy, perfect for a good nights sleep. There is always street parking in front of my house. In addition I have two parking spots in our back alley. You will need to come around to the front to enter the house. The back porch locks from the inside.
    The highlands is a beautiful historical neighborhood. All of the cities best restaurants and bars are less than 10 minutes away. My neighborhood has what is called Restaurant Row and you will find everything from fine dining to local pizza. There are coffee shops, orange theory fitness, bakery, Cave Hill Cemetery, boutiques, dining and a nightclub right outside my front door. You really couldn't ask for a better location. There is also a public bus stop on my street. St James Art fair is less than a $10 Uber or Lyft ride away. That way you can enjoy the Art Fair and avoid the expensive parking rates. The Highlands is a bustling neighborhood, there are always people around and there can be music and noise. I have equipped the bedroom with a white noise machine and ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. This is a perfect location for local festivals and events. St. Patrick's day festivities, the Louisville Zombie walk, highlands pride festival and the highlands fest are right outside my door. Forecastle Festival, Bourbon and Beyond and Abbey Road On the River are a quick Uber ride and Churchill Downs is only 15 minutes.

    Located right in the heart of Louisville's most popular downtown neighborhood. This gorgeous, 1100 square ft shotgun style house has been converted from a retail space. A short walk from nationally acclaimed farm to table restaurants, popular bars, local roast coffee shops, galleries and boutiques. You can also walk to several different bourbon distilleries and Slugger Field. Free city circulation buses and pay as you ride bike and scooter stations can get you to slightly further major venues.
    The Heart of NuLu is an 1100 square foot home in the traditional 'shotgun' style. This warm, exposed brick space is linear in design. The brick walls provide a cozy continuity to the individual living spaces. Enter into the living room. There is a small kitchenette in the middle of the space and a large, king size bed in the back of the building next to the bathroom. The bathroom features a tile and glass shower with a lovely stone floor. All amenities including furniture are brand new and have been selected with the traveler in mind. This open floor plan may not be ideal for groups that require privacy from each other. Note that due to the layout of the house the furnace vent or the HVAC is located above the bed. This causes air to flow across the sleeping area which may be uncomfortable or annoying for some. If you are a light or sensitive sleeper, you may be bothered by the white noise produced by the HVAC at night. Note that there is NO STOVE. The kitchenette area features a toaster oven and small refrigerator for drinks and snacks. There is a Kureg and a French Press for coffee and an electric kettle for hot water. Note that there is NO CABLE. The Smart TV has Netflix. You can log into your Amazon or Hulu accounts. There is also a Chromecast for you to use if you would rather stream from your own device.
    The NuLu neighborhood is chock full of amazing places to visit. The house has two large chalk boards in the kitchenette area detailing individual establishments that are absolutely worth a visit within 2 walking blocks in each direction. A long walk or a Uber or LIFT can get you to many other excellent destinations within 5 or 10 minutes.

We thought the place might get too cold with the temps in the 30s but the two heaters kept things comfortable. Spacious and clean, had everything we needed. Hope to stay again in the future.

We had our dog who had a great time as well with all the attention he recieved on his walks in the neighborhood. he even met a few dog friends.     Apt is large, comfortable, unique and cozy. We have remodeled it in our version of New Orleans primitive with many special touches. Many guests have said they enjoy just hanging out here on rainy days. Sleeping room is set up with 2 queen beds. Great mattresses made even better with luxury mattress toppers. There is a large 7ft very comfortable couch and we have a queen and/or a twin size air bed for additional registered guests. The apt is private to you and we want you to consider it your home away from home. Except for a full size stove the kitchen has all the appliances you need to prepare meals, including a toaster oven, an induction cooktop, microwave, and even a crockpot. There is a private outside deck where there is space to grill (we provide both a gas grill and a small charcoal grill with supplies) and you can enjoy the garden. Smoking is allowed on the deck. Bathroom is large with excellent water pressure, heated towel rack, lighted makeup mirror and rainfall massage showerhead. Even a nice tub to soak in. We provide everything but toothpaste and brush. There is no cable TV but we do have local TV, Wifi, Netflix, MLBtv( yippee!!) and other apps available thru the blu-ray player. We will try to set the space up for special occasions if we can. We have keyless entry and you will be given a personal code. There is a studio apt next to this one( they can be rented together, depending on availability, to make a large 2bd/2bth) so there may be other guests on site. We give our guests the opportunity to not pay a cleaning fee if they follow a few simple requests listed in our House Rules, so please read them.
    Diversely populated, urban, multi-use ( residential, business, warehouse) neighborhood in the southeast area of downtown Louisville that is close to everything. Logan is a one way street, and we have convenient on street parking available right in front of our house. We also have a secured parking space accessible from the back alley. There are dogs on the block and they do bark. It's not quiet like in the suburbs-Louisville is a large exciting city- but our home is and the neighbors usually are too.
  • I was staying in Louisville for a conference and booked Dawn and Jerry’s place. Unfortunately, the conference was cancelled due to the corona virus outbreak. My husband and daughter tagged along as we planned on making it a small getaway vacation. We were already on our way when notified of the conference’s cancellation so decided to at least stay the night. Many other events were cancelled in the area as well so there wasn’t much to do. We decided to head back home the next day. Dawn and Jerry worked with us on shortening our stay. They were great and still provided a continental breakfast for us. This hotel-style apartment will put you within a 5min drive of Bardstown Road/Baxter Ave which is home to many of the town's best restaurants, bars & shops. You will have a private entry, access to the backyard, and private bathroom with washer/dryer! There is a tenant living on the other side of the house so you will hear noise and voices (it's an old home!)
    This cozy hotel-style apartment within an historic brick shotgun house offers a cozy queen-sized bed with full bathroom, laundry and access to a full backyard. The bed and sheets are hotel-like comfy, and the room offers 11 foot ceilings. We have a full time tenant (she’s very nice and will not be around much but you may run into her as you come in and out of the house) she lives in the front portion of the house and your unit is connected but has its own private entrance. Please note that this is an older home and the wooden floors creek when our tenant goes up the stairs. Expect to hear some noise like voices and talking since this is Airbnb and you are staying in a home but we assure you tell it’s nothing compared to staying in a loud and busy hotel! Please do not book if you’re expecting total silence. New mini-fridge and Keurig added to the unit! There is no kitchen or living room in the space. There is no shared space with the rest of the house. This is a hotel-style unit.

    This is former rental building in the process of upgrading. I do my best to make it clean and cozy but exterior and common areas still need attention. I appreciate my guests comments and suggestions and every month the place gets better. If everything goes well you'll never see me but I'll show up within minutes if something's needed. Check in is automated via PIN code that I'll send you prior to your arrival. The immediate neighborhood is not particularly attractive in my opinion but it's centraly located so it takes just a short walk to major attractions like Nulu, Highlands, Ohio riverfront or strict Downtown. There are two bus lines (21 and 19) in front of the house that will take you to major parts of the city. For detailed maps look up TARC bus system. Downtown, Riverfront, Highlands, Nulu are all within waling distance. Parking is on public street. It's safe and plentiful except midday during the week but you can always find a spot just not directly in front of the house.

Tom's home is smartly designed yet cozy, and located a stone's throw from shops and restaurants on Frankfort Ave. (We loved walking down to Please and Thank You for coffee and cookies during our stay!) The bedrooms are at the back of the unit, and were both clean and quiet. We would note for future guests that the bedrooms are attached to the bathroom in a triangle pattern, so you just have to be a bit mindful of sharing to avoid getting boxed into the back bedroom. Keyless entry into the building and the apartment makes check in a breeze. There are a few stairs required to get up to the house from the street but the apartment is contained on a single level. The house is located at the nexus of two of the most popular and scenic neighborhoods in Louisville, giving you walking distance access to some of the best bars, restaurants and night life the city has to offer. We've done our best to anticipate anything you may need, and to sound proof the individual units in the house so that all our guests have a quiet and pleasant stay but be aware that this is an active apartment building with two upstairs tenants. There is plenty of parking on the street directly in front of the house. You'll find this cozy spot to be restful and comfortable. Please note that the kitchenette has a microwave and a refrigerator, but NO STOVE. There is also NO CABLE. The SMART television has access to Netflix and you can sign into your own Amazon or Hulu accounts. There is also a Chromecast if you prefer to stream from your own device.
    The Butchertown neighborhood is one of the fastest growing parts of Louisville. The house is located next to the extremely popular and trendy NuLu neighborhood. You can walk or ride bikes to many different restaurants, shops and bars in this popular area. The house is 2 blocks from the new soccer stadium (expected to be completed in 2019) and Slugger Field baseball stadium. We are 2 miles from the YUM center and downtown Louisville business district. The things that need to be full-sized and comfortable are (bed, sofa, bathroom, TV, wifi). The things that can be more efficiently sized for a traveller are (kitchen, clothes closet, seating). It had everything we needed for 2 people and was very comfortable, easy to access, and in a cool neighborhood with places to eat/drink/shop. We didn't use the bikes, but having them available is a nice perk. We'd absolutely stay there again.

    We are located in the Clifton neighborhood on the top of the hill at Frankfort Ave and Pope Street. Clifton is an easily walkable neighborhood littered with local eateries and shops. It is also within just 2.5 miles of Cherokee Park, Butchertown, Nulu, Crescent Hill, the Highlands, and Germantown.

  • As a frequent Airbnb-er, having experienced all types of accommodations, I can say with certainty that Lisa’s loft apartment was one of the best (if not THE best) places I’ve stayed. Lisa and her husband provided so many thoughtful touches - cereal, oatmeal, tea, coffee, coconut milk, popcorn, toiletries (including soaps, shampoo, conditioner, makeup wipes, cotton balls, etc), a freaking record player with hand-selected records for a casual listen, EVERYTHING - that my husband and I were left speechless; Any amenity one could possibly want was provided. As far as the space itself, it was tastefully (and quirkily) appointed and sparkling clean. The only issue (which wasn’t an issue for us, but I’m sure would annoy some) was the noise pollution from the street at night. Our hosts, however, made sure this was a non-issue by including earplugs by the bed. (They seriously thought of everything!) I would wholeheartedly recommend this space for anyone staying in Louisville.

Perfect for a secluded getaway, or a festival weekend in Louisville. This quaint apartment is located in historic Butchertown and is walking distance to Waterfront Park and the Big Four Bridge, all things happening in Nulu, a LouVelo bikeshare station, coffee, donuts, shopping, food, music, fun...and so much more.
    The Story House Cottage has private access with a keypad entry. Stair climbing is required to access the 2nd Floor apt. It can comfortably accommodate 1-4 guests with a private bedroom, combined living and kitchen space, full bath with tub, and a full-sized washer and dryer. The bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed, reading nook, and dresser. It also includes a walk-in closet with ample hangers and shelves and french doors that open onto the private balcony. The living/kitchen area is roomy, comfortable, and full of light. Full length windows and french doors bring the light indoors...when you want it. When you don't, you can draw the curtains to dampen the light and quiet the mood.
    Butchertown is an historic neighborhood full of new, old and upcoming establishments. We are the future home to the Louisville Bontanical Gardens and a brand new stadium to house our local Louisville City FC. For beer, music, or food you need to go no further than to the end of the block to Sergio's World of Beers or The Butchertown Social. For the best deal on a breakfast burrito, head to North End Cafe. Or if you're craving a killer meatloaf sandwich, venture up the hill to The Hilltop Tavern. If you are looking for unique gifts or souveniers, the Butchertown Market on Story Ave house "Work the Metal" which will certainly have something for everyone. For a relaxing walk, take the Butchertown Greenway straight to the river where you can walk or bike it's edge for more than 20 miles.

    Hello! Our house is in a very nice, convenient location in Louisville. Located in the Clifton area, this house is close to downtown, Germantown, Nulu, Frankfort Avenue, and many other great places here in Louisville!
    You’ll have a private room that is fully furnished! You’ll have a comfortable full size bed, closet, chair, TV hooked up the fire stick, WiFi, and a fan. We have two full bathrooms. Both are free for you to use! Towels, soap, Shampoo, Conditioner, etc. will be provided. There is always street parking in front of the house. There is never a problem with availability.
    Our neighborhood is my favorite part! We live directly behind Melwood Arts Center which makes it nice to be able to walk down to all the cute little shops and events they host. We live a short 12 minute walk to a few bars and restaurants on Frankfort Avenue - Silver Dollar, The Champagnery, Ostra, Hilltop Tavern... to name a few. We are a a few miles from downtown so a quick $6-$8 Uber ride will get you anywhere from the Nulu area to KFC Yum center right In the center of downtown.

    This generously appointed residence is situated in Louisville’s historic and quickly evolving, Butchertown neighborhood, the city’s original meatpacking district, with butcher shops dominating the area. The first homes in this enclave were built in the 1820s. Historic and modern elements are captured in this comfortable and finely-restored 100-year-old residence. This private suite features original wooden floors, and is decorated with local artwork, as well as one queen sized bed, with memory foam mattress. A well-appointed bathroom features tiled floors and a beautiful shower with glass doors. Mini fridge and microwave available, though freezer and access to ice is unavailable. Laundry facilities are on-site for guest use. Parking on-site, and street parking on both sides throughout the week. The first floor street front has a commercial office space, and the street is very not too busy after hours. Other units in this building can be rented out together to create larger spaces to accommodate more people. Please inquire if interested. Guests have access to their private suite 24/7 via electronic key locks on the doors. We will send instructions for access the night before your arrival. Laundry facilities are available on site and can be accessed anytime. Parking is available in an attached lot and can accommodate 5 vehicles. Street parking is also available on both sides of the street. All parking is on a first come basis.

The space is small but very cozy with higher end floors, glass block/granite counter top, fireplace stainless steel cabinets, ceiling fan etc When renovation we decided to keep original 100 yrs old cast iron bathtub and sink but unfortunately with age there comes some discoloration that proved impossible to remove. Fixtures are clean there are some stains. The house has WiFi, laundry facility, free bicycle rental. In most cases I don't even meet guests as they are able to let themselves in via electronic lock and I only show up if something is needed. The immediate neighborhood is not particularly attractive in my opinion but it's centrally located so it takes just a short walk to major attractions like Nulu, Highlands, Ohio riverfront or strict Downtown. There are two bus lines (21 and 19) in front of the house that will take you to major parts of the city. For detailed maps look up TARC bus system. Downtown, Riverfront, Highlands, Nulu are all within waling distance. Parking is on public street. It's safe and plentiful except midday during the week but you can always find a spot just not directly in front of the house.
    The immediate neighborhood is not particularly attractive in my opinion but it's centrally located so it takes just a short walk to major attractions like Nulu, Highlands, Ohio riverfront or strict Downtown.
