Felt like home. We stayed at Braes Retreat for four weeks and we loved every minute. The location is great for travelling around Skye as it’s pretty central but it still has that quiet isolation that most people come to Skye looking for. The house has everything you need, it’s very clean and comfy and Iain and Ingrid are great hosts to help you out with any issues. As all the other reviews say, the garden is spectacular, the views are beautiful and it’s generally a really lovely place to stay.

Caroline and Lee's cosy home couldn't have been more perfect! The location was peaceful and we particularly enjoyed morning coffee in bed looking out at the beautiful view before a day of activities on Skye. The decor is gorgeous and the house was spotlessly clean and the space is so well thought through to maximise space, with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable and relaxing stay - the kitchen was well stocked for such a small space so would be suitable for someone looking to make some meals at home. both Caroline and Lee were super responsive to our questions and gave great local advice and recommendations which is always appreciated from those staying locally and it genuinely felt like they couldn't do enough to be helpful. A perfect stay in a gorgeous home on the most lovely island - and make sure to throw the frisbee for their beautiful dog as thanks for the best visit!

absolutely beautiful area. plenty of space for kids and dog in garden. sheep visiting often regardless of the gate being closed. house comfy and cozy and warm. bathroom was stunning and plenty of hot water.
