Ballintogher is an excellent base for cyclists, walkers, surfers & SUP to explore nearby lakes or Strandhill. We are only 5 minutes drive away from Castle Dargan hotel and therefore a popular base for people attending weddings, playing golf or enjoying the spa facilities there. We are also 5 minutes drive from the lake “lough Gill “ and the beautiful Slishwood.

Situated on Irelands amazing wildatlanticway with access to many forest walks and soft sandy beaches. For the adrenaline junkies, the Coolaney Mountain Bike Trails is a mere 25 minute drive. For the surfers, a 20 minute drive to some of the world's most famous waves at Strandhill.

The Hobbit House - Unique Quirky Grass Roof House

The Hobbit House is set within an orchard along side 3 yurts. Its grass roof and quirky round door entrance are reminiscent of The Hobbit. The Hobbit House sleeps up to 6. There are two handcrafted King size beds (which can also sleep as four singles) for a friends getaway. It also sleeps two singles, so is perfect for large families. A travel cot can also be provided on request. Private dry composting toilet and hot outdoor shower for those staying in The Hobbit House.

Swiss Cottage is over 100 years old and is situated in Glencar Valley, with wonderful views down to Glencar Lough and King's Mountain. The cabin is located in a beautiful scenic and secluded area surrounded by trees and wildlife close to the Bricklieve mountains and the Carrowkeel megalithic tombs. Facilities include tea and coffee, a toaster and a mini fridge. Shower and toilet. There are many walking routes in the area and also fishing close by. It is approx. 20 mins drive from Sligo town and 2.5 hrs from Dublin. There is a pub which serves food approx. 2kms from the cabin. NO SMOKING
