Martin was a very helpful and responsive host. We arrived in the evening to find the house opened with lights on and the stove lit, it was very welcoming on a cold night. The house is in a scenic location and is very peaceful and private. All the beds were comfortable with good storage in each room. The bathroom is bright and modern with plenty of hot running water. Extra towels were available for our use. The kitchen dining living space is extremely spacious with a double height ceiling. It’s a very attractive space and ideal for a young family. The kitchen was well kitted out with all the essentials for cooking and an abundance of tableware. There are plentiful ledges for food preparation, with a large table as well as an island. A separate utility was another useful feature. Martin was a flexible host which we greatly appreciated. We would highly recommend honeymoon cottage.

Staying here was like stepping into a peaceful, magical retreat. The cozy wood-burning fire made the space feel so welcoming and serene, and the private sauna was the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring. Waking up to views of rolling fields filled with sheep and the surrounding mountains was pure bliss. Every detail of the stay felt thoughtful and relaxing—it truly felt like a little sanctuary away from the world. I left feeling refreshed, grounded, and already dreaming of coming back. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a tranquil escape in nature.

Great location in Sandyford next to the Luas and the M50. Can be in Dublin in about 20 minutes on the Luas. We had family nearby so it was great for us. Also free parking! That is rare in Dublin. Apartment was a lovely two bedroom two bath. Perfect for my wife two daughters and I. Would highly recommend Niamh and Renata as they were very helpful during our stay.

2nd time staying at this property and will definitely be back. Olivia and her parents were very helpful, friendly and welcoming. would highly recommend visiting for a peaceful holiday. Highly recommend staying at Declan's if you get the chance! The property is a lovely clean spacious house close to a beautiful beach and a short drive to all the amenities you could want, as well as lots of places to visit and things to do in the south east of Ireland. The fireplace in the living area is a real focal point of the property, and makes the space so cosy. We particularly appreciated the well-stocked kitchen: we had all the pots and pans needed to cook as if we were at home. Declan himself is a fantastic host - super responsive, friendly and helpful. Everything was so easy and it was a joy to stay there. Thank you, Declan!

Jean made it feel like home, I was with my elderly parents in their 80s visiting my in-laws who really enjoyed it & were happy to park off when my wife & I had to leave them for various reasons. If we back in Gorey as live abroad & will hopefully be able to use Jeans home again.

We stayed here as a group of 23 girls for a hen. The house was absolutely perfect. There was plenty of space for such a big group. The house was well equipped with everything we needed. A brilliant location so close to Kilkenny. Mary was so lovely and helpful throughout the entire process and couldn’t have done any more for us!

We had a great time at the cottage! The house is super comfortable, cozy, and perfectly located for a relaxing getaway close to nature, with Glendalough and Wicklow just a short drive away. Marie and Sinead were excellent hosts—they welcomed us with the fireplace already lit and the house warm and inviting. They were always kind and ready to help with anything we needed. We truly felt at home and would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful escape in the area.
