My place, built in 1830, can be seen on the left of the main picture. It is close to Wainwrights Coast to Coast Walk, the sea, public transport, a brilliant fish & chip shop and a local store. You’ll love my place because you're close to coastal walks and sites of historical interest such as the industrial heritage sites of Whitehaven. The lake District National Park is within a few miles and the sunsets from my house are stunning..
“Janet's place is located in a great location, in whitehaven. Stunning views over the sea and despite the bad weather we took our dog Coco for a lovely walk to Haig Mine and down to Whitehaven... just a 15 to 20 minute walk along the coast from Janet's cottage. The place itself was spotlessly clean, and very cosy... Janet even provided milk, tea, hot chocolate and coffee for our arrival. The chip shop around the corner was also a bonus! Janet's place was very special place, and great value!! We will definately be going back we felt very relaxed and at home here. If you're looking for somewhere to stay in Whitehaven, please consider here.”
Situated in Whitehaven, this 2 bedroomed semi-detached house is ideal for people needing somewhere to stay for both work and leisure purposes. The property is situated about a 5 minute walk from West Cumberland Hospital and approximately a 10 minute car ride into Whitehaven town centre, where the coast to coast begins. The area is ideal for cyclists and walkers with Ennerdale water, Wasdale and the edge of the Lakes near by.
“Amazing value for money, the finishing touches were brilliant. Excellent hosts - went the extra mile. Great location, so easy to get to Whitehaven and the pier for fishing. Would highly recommend this place and will DEFINITELY be coming back.”
Located in the historic town of Whitehaven, a Victorian terraced house offering spacious and comfortable accommodation. Double rooms with large TVs, tea and coffee facilities and comfy beds with 100% cotton bedding. Ideally situated for the start of the Coast to Coast walk, C2C cycle route and access to the Lakes. For the business traveller we are situated with good access to Sellafield, Albion Square, West Lakes Science Park and West Cumberland Hospital. Close to excellent local amenities.
“A really lovely room, warm and comfortable, and very convenient for the Science and Technology Park (only about 2 miles, another advantage is that half of this is away from the traffic). Lovely to come back to after working hard all day . In two nights I enjoyed the chippy (had to stay in for a conference call) and the Globe pub (almost directly opposite). The fish are active if silent - companionable without disturbing anything. Hosts are friendly and helpful if you need them, out of the way if you don't. Very convenient and I'll book again”
