I recently had the pleasure of staying this charming country cottage in Gavinton, just outside Duns, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. The cottage itself was wonderfully warm and impeccably clean, equipped with everything one could need for a relaxing getaway. One of the highlights was the enchanting log fire, which added a warm and inviting ambiance to the cottage's already charming atmosphere. The local walks were nothing short of spectacular, offering brilliant views and a perfect way to immerse oneself in the natural beauty of the area. The owner's instructions were clear and incredibly helpful, making the stay even more enjoyable. Additionally, the cottage's location is conveniently accessible from Edinburgh. It was the perfect setting for indulging in all the usual countryside experiences, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a peaceful and quiet retreat. Whether you're looking to unwind or explore, this country cottage is the perfect choice.

We visited the cottage for a long weekend as we love the Borders. From first communication with Lowry I knew we would not be disappointed. The cottage was so lovely, peaceful and beautifully furnished. It was not like a holiday cottage at all it was definitely like a home. The garden was amazing and our dogs absolutely loved it. The welcome pack was extremely generous and thoughtful and along with other luxurious touches like bathrobes it did make the visit one that stood out. The pub across the road was really nice and it was a pleasant surprise just how lovely it was when we walked in. My partner said several times he could live in the cottage and wondered if they would sell it to us! We would love to return. Thank you x

trish was a great host, she was very friendly and gave us a welcome package which including a few breakfast essentials and a bottle of wine which went down a treat. cottage was spacious, very clean and felt at home. great location just outside berwick upon tweed, very quiet and easy to find. great value for money would highly recommend and would go back again.

Fantastic cottage, friendly hosts including the dogs. We had everything we could possibly need and more besides. A really thoughtful hamper and homemade flapjack awaited us. Would recommend to absolutely everyone.
