Hadrian's Hideaway - an ideal stop for travellers

A cosy annexe just off the Hadrian's Wall path in the city of Carlisle. Whether you wish to use nearby eateries or make yourself something in the kitchenette (microwave, fridge, hotplate, kettle and toaster provided) we welcome those who wish for a place to stay. A double bed and en suite shower awaits in fresh comfortable surroundings. Open to all travellers but please be aware of access arrangements to the property -access up a lane. The Old Map Shop

The Old Map Shop was originally part of the village school. In more recent times it was a map shop, but then lay empty for a number of years before it was sensitively converted into a holiday property in 2020 - 2021. Caldbeck has a pub, cafes and a few shops. It is a great base for exploring the northern fells or for a stop on the Cumbria Way.
