“Whether you are just passing through, using Rob's place as a base to explore the area on a longer stay or just want somewhere to unwind then you really can't get much better. Rob and Jane are excellent hosts and provided some lovely touches on our arrival including delivery of fresh lettuce and cucumber from their garden. Perfectly nestled above a delightfully babbling brook, the outdoor seating area is perfect and gives a great view over to the well stocked bird and squirrel feeders opposite that bustle with activity from dawn until dusk. We'd only been there 15 minutes and had already ticked off Red Squirrel, Woodpeckers, Siskins, Grey Wagtails, Nuthatches and many more! There are a number of sheep on the land and they are able to graze right up to the kitchen window, joining us for several meals 🐑 Who knew watching sheep could be so therapeutic! The accommodation itself is excellent and and has all the home comforts you need after a day of exploring the area or if you just want to kick back and relax. Highly recommended and my only advice would be that you don't forget your camera or your binoculars. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did.”
The perfect English cobbler’s cottage. Rustic, comfy and newly renovated and astonishgly spacious split level with every modern convenience whilst keeping all the key features that hark back to its history, an old authentic cobbler’s shop in the lovely village of Blennerhasset which once provided ballet shoes to the Royal Opera House. Perfect for holiday makers seeking to relax or enjoy outdoors in the nearby scenic Lake District and of other parts of Cumbria. Dogs welcome. Enjoy your stay.
“Absolutely beautiful little place. It was a pleasure to be there and we found ourselves wanting to stay in rather than go out for dinner etc. Just because it was so lovely ! There is everything you could possibly need in terms of toiletries , cleaning products and kitchen utensils. If you are wondering whether you need to pack something- you probably don’t with this place. And The fire is such a perfect feature , highly recommend.”

“Bank cottage is not just a Airbnb stay it is a beautiful homely (dog friendly) place to stay. We didn’t want to leave! From the moment you step into bank cottage, it’s everything and more you imagine from the pictures. Kirsty and Mayur have really thought of all the little details which makes the difference from a stay being good to a stay being outstanding! This place deserves the Airbnb LUXE status. This place made us happy because of how Dog friendly It is! from the treats left to making sure Rosie could get on the local bus it just made a huge difference. At the bottom of Banks cottage garden you are on the Solway Firth! Which your dog can safely roam and run free! ( The welcome pack) Kirsty and Mayur send to you, gives you all the information you will need to make your stay brilliant! .. The village pub (The kings Arms) is very welcoming, cosy with an open fire and dog friendly. We also as Kirsty and Mayur suggested got a Sainsbury’s online shop delivered to the cottage( would highly recommend this) as The village is very remote. I could go on writing how great this place is. But I would say book and stay you will not be disappointed! We will be back in the near future! Thank you Kirsty and Mayur for sharing your beautiful home.”
