Vacation rentals with beach access in Douro River

Me and my husband wanted a little break away and came across this gem! All the reviews we read prior to booking were absolutely correct! If I’m honest I don’t think the photos do this place justice, it’s a lovely apartment with fantastic views, right on the beach front. We felt right at home! The Bronze seafood restaurant just a short walk down on the beach has the best cappuccino in the world! The food was awesome and fresh too. The beach has a lovely boardwalk either side, with breathtaking views. Carlos very kindly collected us from the bus station which he didn't have to do, so I appreciate that. He showed us around the town on the way to the apartment and gave us recommendations. I really appreciate it. The weather wasn't good but nobody can do anything about that. Great host and beautiful apartment.

The apartment has a fantastic location, less than 100m from the beach, and a beautiful walk along the coast, which when illuminated can be traveled both day and night. The area is super quiet and beautiful, and it eats phenomenal, and with very good prices. The landlady, Dolores, is super friendly, she is very attentive to the renters. We arrived later than expected on the first day, and there was no problem, and the day we left, it allowed us to leave later, which we greatly appreciated since packing and packing everything back in the car, when you go with children, it takes their time. If we go back to the area, we'll do it again.

Great location, good sized living and sleeping areas, all we needed for a great stay.

We were super satisfied with the location, described accommodation in which we filled up like at home, contact and lightning-fast helpful contact with the host of every star and euros worth. I booked this place for my mom, she appreciated the place and the help of the hosts with the transfer from / to the airport.

The accommodation is very well located, next to the Vigo estuary, beautiful views and Martina is very friendly with all three, especially with the little one. Very at ease.

Small house tastefully arranged, and fully equipped. A little something from the host is waiting for you in the kitchen. Its location is ideal for access between the beach, the old town, the surfing and fishing spot of Matosinhos. The neighborhood is quiet but everything is there, supermarket, bars, tearooms, restaurants... There is nothing missing for a great stay. Small downside however due to the humidity and its small smell in the downstairs room, other than that everything is great. We will gladly come back hoping to have better weather and be able to enjoy the small private terrace more fully.

We are absolutely impressed with the warmth and hospitality of Jorge and Susana! We stayed for 2 weeks and felt completely comfortable! It was spotlessly clean and cozy furnished and lovingly decorated. The bed was so comfy! Jorge and Susana were always available and even left us a few treats on arrival and during the stay. It was also great that we had a separate in the courtyard completely to ourselves. For our two dogs totally great, as they could lie in the sun all day when we were working without having to be afraid that they could run away. In 5 minutes you can walk directly to the huge sandy beach. It was fantastic and we also quickly took the neighbors to heart. Sincere thanks for the great time! We will be back!

We really enjoyed the weekend. We had rented it before and will definitely do so again. Prisilla was a delight and helped us with everything.

A comfortable and spacious home. Very comfortable beds. Full rooms, each with a bathroom. Outdoor space that gives the house a plus. Pedro and Cristina are very attentive to our needs and very friendly. Recommended experience.

The apartment is perfect for a couple or family with small children, for four adults it would be small. It has a good terrace and is right on the beachfront although you can only see the sea down a corner of the terrace. Very quiet and pleasant place with a spectacular beach with restaurants and shops around. The communication with the host was perfect and flexible. We have never experienced such a well-maintained, clean and well-equipped apartment. It corresponds 100% to the photos. There is a large underground parking lot. The landlord Manuel took care of things proactively and asked several times if everything was okay. The location is right on the main beach of Esmoriz, separated only by the waterfront road. However, it should be noted that at the end of August, a fair takes place right in front of the house with corresponding volume in the afternoon and evening.

We spent 5 nights with the family and we felt at home. Very comfortable place, quiet area close to beaches and a restaurant. Dolores treated us very well and gave us some plans for when the weather wasn't good enough to go to the beach. Highly recommended

Excellent apartment, with a great location. Everything was as described and in perfect condition. Very comfortable parking. From the door you have a walk to O Grove which is a luxurious view of the Ría. Totally recommended. Let's repeat
