Beautiful!!! Very nice traditional house with pool, ping pong table, babyfoot, bikes…. A little piece of heaven! A little far from all tourist attractions, but there are all the useful shops in Tabua. For a nice family holiday, I would highly recommend it. Thanks to Melanie for all the useful instructions as soon as we arrive!

My stay at Quinta das Águias was truly unforgettable. The Peacock Cottage looks exactly like the photos, with large windows that offer views of the surrounding nature and animals—even from inside. Most of the farm’s five hectares are open for guests to explore, and wandering through the grounds is a peaceful experience in itself. But what really made my visit special were the animals. Many are incredibly friendly and love interacting with visitors—I’ve never received so much affection from cats in my life! I left feeling recharged, grateful, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit. The energy of the place, with its serene nature and warm-hearted animals, is simply magical.

Our stay in this house was really fantastic! The house itself was amazing and offered incredible tranquility. The hostess is one of the friendliest people we have ever met. Upon arrival we could easily park our car in the driveway of the hostess's house. She was so thoughtful in helping us get our luggage to the vacation house. To get to the house, you walk through a beautiful vineyard. This walk is an experience in itself, the surroundings are breathtakingly beautiful. Once we arrived at the cottage, we were treated to an amazing view of the vineyard. The house itself is cozy and comfortably furnished, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. There is a swimming pool within walking distance of the house, located on a hill. The pool is beautiful, surrounded by nature, and it was wonderful to spend time there with the family. All in all, this house was really a highlight of our first holiday in Portugal. We can recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet place to stay!

Beautiful place, stunning views, very yummy breakfast every morning. Carlos is very friendly and helpful. the little cabins are comfortable and perfect for families.

This place ought to be officially recognized as a national treasure! The house and grounds are full of historic charm and the scenery is spectacular. The farm fresh breakfast was truly impressive and the hospitality was top notch. We stayed for two nights but would have been very happy to have stayed for an entire week if our schedule had allowed for it. Many thanks to the owners for creating such a wonderful guest house and for the warm welcome and great sightseeing tips. It was the highlight of our trip from Canada.

This place is peaceful and surrounded by nature with lots of trees and singing birds, includind the chickens that create an "quinta" atmosphere. The accommodations were clean and cozy, and the hosts were incredibly responsive and caring. I highly recommend this countryside gem for a relaxing escape.

Beautiful spot with private pool and lots of space to enjoy the sunshine. Really peaceful location with amazing restaurant attached, which I recommend visiting. Isabel was hugely responsive and incredibly helpful throughout. Highly recommend a visit!

The hosts are very friendly and helpful. The space is beautiful, clean and comfortable. I really liked the location, the silence and the animals of the farm. A good atmosphere to relax and enjoy the natureuito near the incredible walkways of the Mondego and this tour was the main reason for staying overnight on this farm.

Fantastic space, was a great stay with 5 adults and a baby. Rita was so accommodating and easy to deal with. The place is large with a lovely living area. Wish we had booked for longer than 4 nights! Highly recommend.

We really enjoyed peaceful location.

We loved the stay, the house was beautiful and cozy. There was plenty of firewood to keep us warm in the living room. The kitchen was modern. I only have 2 things to point out: - It had all the necessary amenities except a mop to wash the dishes. - the oven top was not well washed (we left it cleaner than we found it) Finally, I leave the suggestion to the host that the outdoor space has immense potential and could be better used, for example with a swimming pool, especially in the warmer months.

Very cozy house with everything you need to spend a few days with family or friends. I totally recommend it.

We had a lovely stay here - the lemon farm is really pretty and the ponies are so friendly! The bungalow is gorgeous and exactly as shown in the pictures. There were lots of additional things added which made this great, such as the pool lighting up at night, a projector so you can watch tv on the deck, and lots of blankets provided. Jorge was really responsive and happy to help. Would recommend this stay.

We went 5 couples (10 people) to spend a weekend and had a great time. In principle we were going to be 12 but two have not been able to go and I think that, -if nice space there was and had been entered-, for 10 people the house is fine, maybe the 12 would have been a tighter pelín. The house is very nice in a very natural environment, quiet and with privacy. Although the weather didn't accompany us a lot, we enjoyed the gallery, the fireplace and the house itself. The beds were comfortable, the beautiful views. The only thing we suggested to Javier is that the fridge takes a little bit to cool well (when you regulate it), and that we have run out of hot water when we took the shower several. We think in the summer with the pool it would be a total enjoyment. ¡I'm sure we'll be back!

This home is absolutely beautiful, we felt comfortable from the moment we arrived. Everything we could possibly need was there, from a fully equipped kitchen to thoughtful touches throughout the house and garden. It was spotless, and we especially appreciated the fresh citrus and eggs from the birds next to the property waiting for us. Carolina and her husband are exceptional hosts, warm, generous, and incredibly helpful. All their recommendations were perfect. Do note that a car is essential, and confident driving is a must in the area. The game room with the pool table was a great bonus, especially on rainy days. The nature, the views, and the garden were all stunning. Our only regret was not staying longer.

It was the second time we chose this place and it was excellent! We felt right at home! Enjoy so much nature and animals, calm and comfort! It is undoubtedly a very good place to rest and for good times alone or with family! We'll definitely be back! And Susana is very friendly and helpful! We really liked it!

Our casita was Alambique, it perfectly matched the description, all the comforts in that; the bed is very comfortable; fireplace, toilet and a full bathroom, two TVs...the location is very nice and quiet. Definitely super recommended.

What an incredible stay we had! Francisco and family were very helpful, friendly and welcoming. As others have said, he even brought us fresh bread in the morning, which we combined with local cheese, jam, and a nice Nespresso coffee. All very good but really it was the breakfast setting that made it amazing. Essentially you’re sitting out on a terrace in the sky overlooking the vineyards and the Vale de Mendiz. Stunning! Everywhere you go is a picture taking. The colours in the valley view are constantly changing with the light. Francisco also made recommendations which were very enjoyable outings, e.g. beautiful Casa de Mateus (we had lunch at Bistro Palcio just outside the main gate, try it), winery Quinta de São Luiz (Francisco’s son João recommendation), Pinhão for Douro river boat tour (the drive there along the valley is incredible). Must not forget the family’s happy-go-lucky long haired dachshund Pappy. What a cutie! Merci beaucoup Francisco! Gary & Suzie

We very much like the stay, the house is located in a very quiet area and close to areas for walking routes and restaurants a few minutes by car. We went with our 4-legged mascot and it was great, the house has a lot of outdoor space for it to run and play and very close, the trails of the Ecopista do Vouga are located. António was very helpful and attentive. Your mother, Dona Gina, simply fantastic. Very worried so that we would not miss anything in the comfort of the house and still had the kindness of giving us some very good regional sweets. We will certainly return to the Teacher's House!

Cannot say enough about this place, its everything it says and lots more. The ladies that service the property along with preparing breakfasts were simply awesome. Aurora's chocolate cake was a hit, and we had it for dessert and breakfast! The location and views are postcard perfect and that comes with some nervous driving to get there, but once you know the quirks really not that bad, just be careful. Highly recommending this to friends that are planning a trip to this beautiful part of the world.

The house is spectacular. A private space to relax and enjoy nature. the estate and the house are cared for down to the smallest detail. Rui responds very quickly, makes facilities and recommends local products and cultural visits.

5-star stay. Modern, comfortable and pleasant house, with a very well-kept outdoor space, with swimming pool, jacuzzi, gym and the relaxing sound of running water and the sound of birds. Ana and Paulo were very helpful.

What a fabulous place! We absolutley enjoyed our time here and will look to visit again. Loved the space around the property and the views all of which made it very private and exclusive. Anibal responded quickly to questions and is a great host!
