Hello! I have a 3 bed bungalow in Gretna, a stones throw from the wedding capital of the UK! Locally there are shops, bakers, cafe, bars, restaurants etc and the GateWay shopping centre. 2 minutes from the M6, with local trains and buses. The property is suitable for those with limited mobility.
“What a lovely place to stay, only required the room for one night as I was attending a close friends wedding. Extremely hospitable and gave me a key to ensure I could get into my room at any time. Offered me tea in the morning but unfortunately I had to rush off. For when I next return to Gretna Green, Janette’s will be the first port of call!”
Lovely private, comfortable single/couple Studio Flat adjoining the main house. The Studio includes a bedroom/lounge area, fully equipped kitchen and bathroom with large shower. Gorgeous countryside views. Easy access to and from the M74, an ideal place to stop over and break your journey to and from Scotland. Great walking/cycling area, lots of quiet lanes and Solway Firth only minutes away.
“Andy and Jean were great hosts. Andy was very helpful in assisting us with directions and also recommended us some places to visit. The property is very clean and has all the required amenities. We found its location handy as we were able to visit the lakes and also few places in Scotland including Glasgow easily. We would definitely recommend this property.”
Recently renovated cottage on a working livestock farm, this riverside abode offers the perfect place to peacefully unwind. The Lake District, Solway Coast, Hadrians Wall and the Scottish Borders are within easy reach, with Junction 44 of the M6 being only 5 minutes drive east. Local fishing and shooting can be organised (I have fishing rights to the River Lyne running through my farm also and a outdoor country pursuits store is located it at the very end of my drive!). “I can not recommend this place enough. The location is beautiful - looking out on to open farm land. Yet you are around 7 minutes from the m6 and the retail parks to the south, and Gretna Outlet Village around fifteen minutes to the north. We also go to Pooley Bridge in under 30 minutes (which is always our breakfast Lake District stop), and then later, back from Whinlatter and Keswick in under 50 minutes. David is the loveliest person and always answers quickly and was happy to answer my questions and tell us about the farm. It’s not often that you get to an AirBnB place and find it perfect and way better than you thought it might be, but this was it. By the time we left my son was adamant we were going to ask David to buy it and he was going to build a tree house in the garden..! There’s no better review than that..”
