We had a great time at Anne’s place! Such a charming little house, right by the water. Family friendly and relaxing atmosphere. The sunset was just stunning. Great communication with the host and everything was just as described. Thank you for having us!

If u need to scape from the city it’s perfect. Peaceful and easy to find. Just point out I found an insect on my bed I can’t identify what it was but it’s a place inside the woods I’ll say so understandable. Overall ok.

A really great choice! So close to so many wonderful bars, restaurants, shops etc. - the location was excellent. Would highly recommend the Parlor bar next door - don’t just pick up the key, stay for a drink with the brilliant bartender, Casey!

We loved Clem’s Cottage! We are always looking for affordable, not to fancy places to stay so that we can do what we came to do which is enjoy all that a town has to offer! This place is small and cozy, as advertised. If you are afraid of stairs, this isn’t for you, there are stairs to the bedroom and stairs down to the bathroom, we don’t mind. We hope to stay again.

I have stayed here several times. It is just that easy comfortable convenient having your own private space vs hotel!

We loved our stay at this gem of a place! Our hosts were fantastic and very accommodating. We arrived and the tiny home was nice and clean. The heater was on and drinking water was ready for us! The location is great as you are just 20-30 minutes away from Des Moines and surrounding areas! 10/10 recommend. We would love to come back during the summer time.

Great stay! I surprised my husband for a birthday weekend getaway… We had a fantastic time! The cabin is quaint, relaxing, and cozy. We loved the fireplace and my husband thoroughly enjoyed tending to it. John & Jana offered great local flyfishing recommendations. Even though Iowa can be so gloomy in February, we felt so rejuvenated after a weekend at the cabin. Thank you! 😊

We had an amazing stay!!! It was small but yet just enough space for the two of us. Definitely worth the drive and a great time.

It was very nice and looked like the pictures. The Dock Side restaurant has great food and everyone was very friendly! We really enjoyed our stay and would stay there again!

We had a great stay. The river is beautiful and the tiny home is super cute. We ran into an issue with the hot tub, but Gabby was very responsive and accommodating. Loved being able to take our dogs with us as well. Would definitely recommend.

Great little place to stay for a couples getaway ! Everything you need to enjoy a stay in the area. We enjoyed using the firepit and listening to the birds in the trees. Plan to come back, next time we're in the area.

Amy’s place is a gem of a bungalow! We walked in to a spotless home filled with welcoming note, a basket of dog goodies to use while we were there, and well stocked human treats as well! The cozy, warm and tasteful Iowa State Fair inspired theme has so many surprising touches. From the well curated book shelf, to the bin of kids activities, the body bath, shampoo and conditioner, she thought of absolutely everything. We appreciated the abundance of fluffy towels including bath sheets, the numerous throw blankets, and comfortable mattress and pillows. You truly need to bring nothing. The home has a modern farmhouse feel to it, including an adorable game shed in the back yard with a table and games. Our dogs appreciated the fenced in back yard, & treats. Aly, clearly a dog mom, welcomes furry friends. She also has the cutest guest book for humans AND a separate one for your pets with recommendations and even dog sitting. 3 TV’s and fans all clearly labeled for use were great! Love

Decorah High Point Magnolia Cabin was perfect quiet get away for our anniversary! Beautiful cabin, wonderful views and wildlife. Very relaxing!

My husband has a disease that keeps us close to the university hospital in Columbia. We needed a relaxing night away yet close to Columbia. We found it here. The stars were gorgeous and the fire was cozy. Enjoyed the short stay. Will be back.

I really enjoyed the secluded feel to the tiny home and it felt really cozy. I stayed there for several weeks but I think the place is more suited for shorter term stays since it runs on a gas generator. The tiny home had nice touches like low sensory lighting, a balcony off the bed and even hiking trails around the premise. I highly HIGHLY recommend trying the lavender farms cocoa mix. They provide you with some of their products in the Airbnb and that was a really lovely touch. I definitely want to come back and try out the treehouses.

We had the BEST time. The cabin and acreage were breathtaking. Our kids had a blast playing, fishing, catching frogs and more. The cabin was small but perfect for our needs, we loved the porch overlooking the view. The kitchen/bathroom are very small (historic property!) but well equipped. Cabin stayed pretty cool even in the heat of the day, but A/C is there if you need it. We would totally visit again! Hosts were very responsive and friendly!

There’s not enough words to thank John and Jane for their awesome hospitality and beautiful place! The cabin exceeded our expectations for the weekend getaway my husband and I were looking forward to. The flexible check-in was something we were super happy about, as it made our traveling plans easier. A hidden gem in Lansing, IA. Perfect if you are looking for a peaceful, quiet weekend with easy access to the city. We’re already looking forward to coming back for a fishing trip in the spring/summer time!
