Monthly Rentals in Islay

We had an amazing stay, loved the locale, remote and on working farm. Walking distance to beach, great views from cottage. Hopefully be back in summer.

Comfortable stay at Bridge Cottage. Good sized house for two and a dog. Minimalist and basic accommodation but had everything we needed in the kitchen. Enclosed garden ideal for the dog. Private location within easy reach of the rest of the island. Clean. Warm. Ideal. Would recommend.

Rebecca and her husband JJ are fantastic hosts and saved our trip! The Airbnb was absolutely lovely and more than we had hoped for! The place was clean, comfy, super cute, and had an excellent view. Unfortunately, while driving around the island the evening before an early morning departure, we pinched a tire and no one (including road side assistance) was able to help us. That’s when I messaged Rebecca and JJ who saved the day! JJ was able to get us a new tire before the ferry took off. Because of these amazing hosts, we were able to continue our road trip as planned and did not get stuck on the island.

Beautifully peaceful location and a cozy small cottage perfect for exploring Islay. Local seals didn’t disappoint, we were lucky enough to observe them every day (and also a wee cute muscrat or mouse living in the bramble bush next to the bench). Friendly locals. The hosts were also very welcoming and communicative. It’s clear that a lot of thought went into arranging the cottage as it had everything we needed during our stay. The highlights of our week on Islay include local sandy beaches with clear water, introduction to local single malts, fresh seafood (Oyster Shed is great for lunch), dips in the sea, LOTS of wildlife and cozy evenings in front of the fire. We’d definitely come back ☺️
