I can’t say enough about how wonderful our stay at the Sidings was. Kate and family were so incredibly warm and friendly. Peggy is so charming! It is beautiful, peaceful, restful, and exceptionally clean. It was perfect. Plenty of walking/running trails and paths to explore. So much opportunity to take in the Scottish countryside. Breathtaking. Just a short Uber/car ride from Edinburgh, the Sidings is the perfect retreat after a long day of exploring the most amazing sites and city. The Sidings is perfectly appointed, no detail too small, everything’s there to make you comfy and happy. Kate, as a host, went above and beyond. She came over late to help us find the best tour of the Highlands. An unforgettable experience. She drove us in early without a second thought. She even made an extra trip into town to pick up a camera left at one of the shops. This is a special property. I would 1000% recommend it! Colin gave us detailed instructions on how to find our way to the accommodation. The Cabin was in very peaceful location and close to the beautiful Pentland Hills, which we explored with personal tips from Colin. He also did a small load of laundry for us, which was super helpful for the rest of our journey. We felt really welcome and the accommodation was the perfect home base for exploring the city, just get the day ticket for the buses to find your way into town.
