Situated in Kirkby-in-Furness, a peaceful and friendly village in south Cumbria, on the edge of the Lake District National Park, the cottage offers fabulous views over the Duddon estuary, and the Lakeland Fells. The market town of Ulverston is a short drive over the moor (with stunning views), while the South Lakes (Coniston, Bowness, Windermere, and Ambleside) and the much quieter Western Lake District are all within easy reach for day trips. Provisions for your first breakfast are provided.
“This was our first time using Air B and B. I can only hope that other hosts are as wonderful as Lindsay. Her communication prior to arrival was excellent and ranged from quirks that sat navs tend to throw at you, to the WiFi code for my moody teenager. We arrived just after 15:00 and the house was warm and already had lights on. Myself and my children took great delight in exploring every nook and cranny. The little touches such as having brew making material on hand made for a peaceful cup of tea. The beds are very warm and comfortable and the house was spotlessly clean throughout. The train station across the road provides excellent links to the rest of the Cumbrian coast and when we return, I plan on using them a lot more. On the day we left, the cleaning crew were in within the hour. How do I know? One of my children left some belongings and the crew were on the phone immediately so we could return to pick them up. We hope to return in warmer weather (it was January and rather nippy) and would heartily recommend this place to fellow travellers.”

“This is a lovely cosy cottage, perfect for time away with friends or family. The hosts were brilliant with quick responses and only a stones throw away! Parking was super plenty of space for our three cars. The cottage had all the necessities and was very comfortable. We had a 6 month old baby with us and they travel cot, changing mat and toys and games available were brilliant. The adults also enjoyed the games that were on offer especially on the wet and wind lay afternoon and evenings. Would definitely recommend.”
