“Soma was a great host and incredibly welcoming. Her place was ideal and in a great location close to all amenities. It was a short 25 minute walk to the RGU campus and the costa across the road from her place was an ideal place to study. Would love to stay again.”
My place is good for couples, business travellers, and families (with kids). Thornton Cottage is in Royal Deeside. Aberdeen city centre for shopping and entertainment is 10 miles away, while the beach front and promenade are two miles further on. Heading West from the top of the track takes you to Banchory ( seven miles) for local shopping and then on to Braemar and the beautiful mountains of the Cairngorms. There are castles and golf courses on the doorstep. Drum Castle is walkable up the hill.
“We had a short but brilliant stay. The cottage was ideally located and less than 20 mins from the airport. The cottage was spotless and had everything we need. Was nice to wake up to the sheep and views from the next field! We’ll be coming back for our next stay in Aberdeen!”
Kirktown Cottage is in a unique setting in the historic hamlet of Kirktown of Fetteresso. The cottage is adjacent to the river carron, a very peaceful place to enjoy a stay. The cottage is both comfortable and quirky, furnished with antiques and collectibles. Cynthia enjoys preparing local produce for a full Scottish breakfast and is flexible about dining times. Guests are very welcome to share the house and garden.
“Cynthia is not only an exceptional hostess, but she is the kind of person you would like to have as a friend and neighbor. The accommodation is tastefully furnished with attention to detail and the welcome is the best we could wish for. Excellent breakfast, the best ever tried, especially in the quality of the raw materials and in the service. The small garden of the house is charming, a real treat. We will definitely return on our next trip to Scotland.”
