The "chicken house"

The chicken house is located in the middle of the beautiful permagar, below a former monastery, on the Katzenhof in Bachhupten. Gabi and Guido live here their dream of independence and want to expand the farm in a sustainable and tedious way. For example, the walls and ceiling of the chicken house have been made from the more than 200-year-old floorboards of the main house. The vacation rental is below the village of Amden. The farmer's family also lives in the same house. For the hay harvest or other work, there may therefore be some noise (milking machine, hay ventilation) or there are odor emissions (garbage). However, we make an effort, and take this into account as much as possible. We have cats, dog and chickens, the goats and cows are from June-September on Alp. We sell organic milk and eggs. Dogs are allowed, just book along, cost CHF 30.

The large living and dining area is characterized by a very large ceiling height and a lot of air (4.20 m height), the fully glazed barn gate brings light into the room.
