Given its peaceful situation, it is surprisingly only a 5 minute drive from major transport routes (north/ south/ east/ west) and Penrith Station. Only 5 miles to Ullswater and the lakes. Barn conversion includes bedroom with private terrace, bathroom (shower and bath), large sitting/ breakfast room. Well behaved dogs welcome on request (2 maximum - extra charge of £10 dog/night). Enclosed outdoor space provided. We look forward to welcoming you to 'the perfect stop'.

Set in the pretty, sandstone village of Great Salkeld, Woodpecker Cottage is the perfect Cumbrian retreat. This single storey dog friendly cottage, comfortably sleeps 2 and has the use of a large garden. You’ll love Great Salkeld with its excellent village pub, ancient church and its many countryside walks. The village is set in the tranquil Eden Valley, close to the river Eden. Just 10 miles from the Lake District National Park, it makes an ideal base from which to explore this stunning region.

Situated in a quiet courtyard, beside a handy Italian restaurant (noise isn't an issue due to the position of the building) and only 5 miles from lake Ullswater.A comfortable, spacious living space, with two king size bedrooms and one comfy double. First floor bathroom with over bath shower, The top floor bedroom has en-suite shower room. As the house is reached via stairway it is sadly unsuitable for less able travellers.

The property offers large open plan kitchen, lounge and dining area. There is a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need, shower room with underfloor heating and a double bedroom with a king size bed overlooking the garden. We offer secure storage for any sports equipment you have and ample off road parking.

This centrally heated, one bedroom Guest Suite is part of a Georgian property built in the late 1700s. The Suite is located in Newton Reigny which is a peaceful village 5 minutes drive from the historic town of Penrith. 5 minutes to the M6 and A66 allows for easy access to the Lake District World Heritage site (the closest lake Ullswater 15 minutes drive). Free parking on the property's driveway and space also available to store equipment.
