Argyll Retreat is available for bookings all year excepting Feb and Nov . it is the ideal place for a quiet break or an active holiday in the Scottish Highlands. It is a cosy timber lodge located in the Argyll Forest Park and Loch Lomond and Trossachs Natiomal Park and is surrounded by stunning scenery. Pets are welcome and stay free. There are many activities in the area for the outdoor enthusiast including hill walking, mountaineering, cycling, mountain biking, canoeing and fishing .
“We had a short but wonderful stay at the lodge. It is located at the edge of the forest, so it's just a few steps to be in beautiful nature that we wish we had more time to explore. The loch is a stinking view. There's a very close by bus stop, that connects to the town for getting supplies or further connections (though you need to keep a eye on the sparse schedule). The lodge had everything we needed, was clean, silent and very cozy. Robbie, the host, was always quick to respond to requests, and even helped us with tips of what to see nearby. We hope to visit the Argyll Retreat Lodge again, and will add a few more days, as there's much more to see.”
Bright and airy one bedroom flat located within central Helensburgh. Recently renovated open plan kitchen, dining and living space. Sleeps up to 4 people with a kingsize bed in the bedroom and an additional sofa bed with king size mattress for and additional two persons to sleep. A cot can be provided for infants on request.
“We booked this flat as a weekend get away. It is lovely, fresh and stylish in appearance and very comfortable. Really easy to get to, especially if you arrive at Helensburgh Central train station, it is a 5 minute walk along the street. Close to lots of cafes, restaurants and the water front. Easy commuter links elsewhere thanks to trains and buses - if you don't want to use the car. Lovely extra touches of all things Scottish which we loved - and we ARE Scottish! A great wee bolt hole and we wish we'd booked another night. If you are a light sleeper you should know that the combination boiler is located in a cupboard in the bedroom - pack ear plugs and you won't know it is there.”
Woodside is a stunning 1850s Victorian mansion. The beautifully renovated top floor apartment has two bedrooms and private bathroom. There is a seating area in the twin bedroom and a tea/coffee/snack area in the hall. An ideal base for visiting the area or for a stop-over. Grounds are extensive and views are breathtaking. Loch Long shore is at the bottom of the garden and there is an enclosed kids play area. Easy access to Loch Lomond, Glasgow, Arrochar Alps, Faslane and Coulport Naval bases.
“We totally enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house! Jill welcomed us in person when we arrived and showed us everything we needed to know. We had the whole floor just to ourselves, the rooms are lovely furnished and you totally feel like at home :) The Views especially from the bathroom to the Loch are stunning! There is a coffee machine, a small fridge, water boiler etc. - everything you need for a small snack or a hot beverage :) They have a cat called Bonnie - we are Fans! Jill always was easy to reach by message if we had any questions. She also had some great Tips for us, there was a lot of info material provided. We also went to a really nice local pub called the Creggans Bar in the small town nearby - that was a great experience . We Would definitely recommend this place to everyone who wants to visit Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park. Hopefully we will come back”
