I had a lovely stay at Ceilidh Place. It’s conveniently located near the bus station, yet tucked away in a calm and peaceful area. Nothing disturbed me during my time there — it was exactly the quiet retreat I needed. The flat itself smells fresh and clean, which added to the overall comfort. If you’re not into the busy city centre vibe, this is definitely a great place to stay. Highly recommended for a relaxing, hassle-free visit.

Ideal for short family break to visit friends and explore the area

We so thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Braeside Cottage! My mother, sister and I were visiting from the States to celebrate my mother's 60th birthday. We all couldn't get over how cute and cozy the cottage was. Jacqueline and Jarrod were great hosts. Jacqueline greeted us at the gate upon arrival. There was a thorough list of helpful tips and recommendations waiting for us in the cottage that we enjoyed. Would definitely stay again!

If you are looking for a place to use as a base for exploring Edinburgh, this is a great option. The place has a lot of space inside, and everything was very clean and organized. There is a backyard area where you can also relax. The wifi worked well, and it had the best water pressure in the shower than any place we stayed in Scotland. And, it's very helpful that the Tesco is almost across the street and there are several decent spots to eat within easy walking distance. I will note that, if you have a car, parking can be a bit of challenge. There are spots on the surrounding streets, if you look for them, but you may need to park a block or two away from the front door, especially if you return in the evening. However, if you are traveling by bus, the bus stop directly in front of the house makes it super-easy to get in/out of Edinburgh.
