Monthly Rentals in Ross of Mull

Stunning location and well laid out cabin. Very quiet except for the little stream next to the path. As far as I can tell there was nothing on the website that warned there is no fridge freezer. This can be an issue for self catering travellers and we may not have booked if we'd known. As there are only 2 power outlets which need to be used sparingly a battery operated wall clock would also be useful.

My partner and I stayed on the island for 4 nights over Easter weekend, and were completely enchanted by Gometra and the bothy. It was easier than we expected to get there, with the helpful community transport available on Mull, and the on-demand ferry between Mull and Ulva. A gentle 3.5 hr hike from Ulva Ferry, the bothy was easy to find, located at the foot of a crag with a beautiful view of the coast. The well-stocked honesty shop was around 1km away, making it easy to pick up what we needed for meals each day. The island was very peaceful, occasionally running into Roc and Rhoda, while Andy kept us well stocked with firewood . Our hosts were very responsive to messages and made a remote stay feel very easy to accomplish! The wood-burning stove was an absolute must, and we enjoyed being off grid and electricity-free for a long weekend of exploring, reading and relaxing.

We had a wonderful stay this Easter, such s beautiful peaceful location. The Yurt itself has anything one needs, duvet was super cosy a bed comfier than my own. Log burner indeed made it very toasty. It was nice not to have TV and wi-fi - we truly enjoyed what the yurt and location had to offer without regular distractions. Our wee one loved all the animals wandering around. Jon was so kind and helpful we felt like home, thank you!

I had an amazing stay at Hannah and Sorren's place in the Ross of Mull. The location is perfect if you need a space to relax, decompress, and focus. The stovetop kettle, firewood to chop, and record player all instilled a sense of ritual - the perfect antidote to busy city life. The selection of vinyl was brilliant, and I arrived to find Nina Simone singing in the background. On the days I headed over to Iona, if you time it right you can leave Fairwinds and step off the boat to the island in 30 minutes. There is also little need to stop for supplies on the mainland now given the new shop in Pennyghael - do pop in there on your way to support.
