Both huts have spectacular lake views over Wastwater and the surrounding fells and are the perfect bases for outdoor activities. Thornythwaite Farm is in Matterdale which is a peaceful valley off the beaten track but with great access to all the popular areas of the Lakes. There are plenty of walks from the door and a good pub, The Royal, is just a short stroll down the road.
