“This is by far the best place I have ever stayed in. Not only is it beautifully layed out and furnished, it is an incredibly "sociable layout". I was looking for a place that had easy access for my mom as she has bad arthritis in her knees and this single level barn conversion was absolutely fantastic. Everything you could ever ask for. I am sure the doors where slightly wider than normal but cant say for sure. The main bedrooms ensuite bathroom/ wetroom had loads of thoughtful and functional features to make life way easier for anyone that usually struggles with standard bathroom layouts. The Kitchen was also thoughtfully considered with an undercounter fridge, Medium level height oven lowered height cooking hob and low level cutlery draw. Although we didn't specifically need these features, I can see it would certainly make it easier for someone bound to a chair to prepare a meal. The most incredible aspect however are the views.... absolutely stunning! Such a warm and friendly welcome. Located out of the way but within a 15 to 20 min drive into town. There is also a fantastic service provides with milk delivered daily and with options to buy a load more groceries and basic essentials ( pretty extensive list of things) delivered to your door..... So if you can't make it to the shops easily... you still covered. Both my Parents and I highly recommend staying here. It is so so so so so nice!”

“Everything about this cottage is perfect. It's so stylish & cosy, spotlessly clean & in a perfect quiet location. The attention to detail is impeccable, we spent all weekend admiring all the little touches. There was nothing that we needed that wasn't already there. Even fresh milk & butter was provided. The bathroom & bedroom are both dreamy, we really enjoyed the bath tub & the bed was very comfortable. Even the garden is lovely & it was great that we could bring the dog. You're within walking distance of the Lake & Gummers How which was ideal. The home made brownies were the icing on the cake for a perfect long weekend at Loveday. Thank you Emma & Gregor for being so accomodating, we will definitely be back.”

“What an amazing place. I came with very little knowledge of what to expect and I had an amazing time. The host is very friendly, available and helpful. I had no idea where to go walking and the host immediately gave me several recommendations. Artie's Lodge overlooks Lake Windmere with a stunning, undisturbed view. The place inside is kept extremely clean and is full of character and quirks. The lodge is very well furnished. My favourite bits were the massive bed and amazing bathtub! I went with the full English breakfast and certainly wasn't disappointed. The meat was extremely flavourful and those home grown eggs! I came away having really enjoyed my stay and just wished I were staying longer. I would definitely stay here again.”
