Cosy pubs and restaurants, wonderful walking, castles, whisky distilleries, quaint villages... Come back to a real log fire and enjoy the big traditional farmhouse kitchen. It lies equidistant between Glasgow and Edinburgh,30 miles from Stirling,and in secure private setting. Blackridge has a railway station with trains running to Glasgow and Edinburgh twice hourly,with a free car park.The Fife coastline is just over the forth road bridge,with beaches and golf courses.

Located 10 minutes taxi drive from Glasgow airport. National Cycle path close by and mountain biking tracks on the Old Kilpatrick Hills near by.

Property has 1 super king size bed, open plan fully kitted kitchen/ living room, smart tv, log burner, Wifi, underfloor heating, shower, bath, washing machine, linen, towels.

Altquhur Cottage

Altquhur Cottage is in a beautiful location with stunning views over the Campsie Fells, 10 minutes by car to the Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond. The cottage is set on a farm with horses, cows and sheep in the surrounding fields and hens roaming around outside the garden. The cottage has a spacious dining kitchen, cosy living room with wood burning stove and comfortable sofa bed, double bedroom, bathroom and utility room. There is a fully enclosed garden with outdoor furniture.

There's 200 years of history in our cosy little cottage. Part of the original village cross and formerly ‘Bab’s Shop’, it is now a one bedroom haven. There's wonderful walks from the doorstep and it's a great base to explore the cities and sights of central Scotland. Our quiet & lovely village pub, The Swan is open Friday- Monday. It was the first community owned pub in Scotland and has recently had a major refurbishment. Be sure to book ahead, it’s popular!

Fa'side Cottage is a detached house on the grounds of Fa'side House on the outskirts of Glasgow, Scotland. Located to the south of Glasgow the house is within walking distance to amenities in Newton Mearns. With 12 acres of beautiful gardens and surrounding land to enjoy, the cottage is secluded with views of the Campsies and much of Glasgow. Glasgow city centre is 15 minutes by car. The cottage is also handily located for those seeking to explore Ayrshire.

Self-contained annexe with its own entrance. This is 1820 built barn conversion. The property has ample grounds with lawns and grassed areas with uninterrupted panoramic views and also couple of friendly Pigmy goats. You can find highland cattle and horses in the fields nearby. Occasionally you can see deer in the open fields. It’s a perfect sanctuary to hideaway or for the more adventurous traveller to explore Scotland major cities Glasgow and Edinburgh.

One double bedroom, bathroom with electric shower, fully equipped kitchen, separate living room with sofa bed. Wifi. Private parking. Close to motorway access to Glasgow (20 minutes). 15 mins to Royal Alexandra Hospital, 15 minutes to Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Braehead shopping Centre and arena. Erskine (10 mins away) has a Morrisons, Aldi, butcher etc.

Dunlop is only 1/2 hour drive to some of Ayrshires top golf courses. The train takes less than 30 mins to Glasgow city centre. The village has a community pub, a community cafe(open Thursdays and Fridays for morning coffee and lunch. A newsagent, post office/ shop and an Artisan Bakery ( openThursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.) A new craft shop has also recently opened next door to our home. The nearest supermarket is 10 mins. drive away.

We are 20 miles from Glasgow and Stirling and a 20 minute drive to Loch Lomond and the Trossachs national park. Wether you want to completely chill out, read, paint, deer spotting or walking this place is perfect for your needs.
