  • Ilkley Moor Discovery Tour.
This experience is created to introduce Ilkley and its historic surroundings to you just as locals know it. Foremost, I'll be like your local friend or family member to show you around, rather than a guide taking you from sight to sight. You'll learn about the heritage of this great town and surrounding area. You will discover historic landmarks and experience the fantastic landscape of Ilkley and the Wharfedale valley. Other things to note The walk will last approx 3 to 4 hrs. The first hour will be a steady incline on a good wide track to attain the elevation after which it is level or a decline for the return leg.

  • Be a farmer for the morning
Welcome to Cronkshaw Fold Farm! *Dates you want not listed?* Message us to arrange. The Price is the same whether you are one person or two. To start with we will make sure you're well equipped for the weather - You'll need to come wearing welly boots, warm layers and waterproofs. Dress appropriately for the weather on the day. We do have spare kit but we don't always have the right size boots/ coats to lend out so you're best bet is to come prepared for wind, hail, sunshine and snow - the English weather is notoriously fickle! Once you're kitted up we will go and let out our free range hens, collect the eggs and weigh them out on the egg grader ready for sale to our local customers. We will then go and feed the Goats (our Goats became unlikely celebrities after spending lockdown on Zoom!) and sheep with the sheepdogs and watch a little bit of sheepdog training/work. On our way round the farm you'll be encouraged to join in with feeding the livestock and doing the morning welfare checks. This is a great activity regardless of age - we can tailor the session to suit the age range of the group so everyone gets a chance to try various age appropriate farm jobs - from grannies to little ones. After the farm jobs are done we will head inside for a breakfast of dippy eggs and soldiers with eggs from the hens you've just met and hot brews.
