Family-friendly vacation rentals in Westport

Booking was a breeze. Contacted the hosts beforehand and they were extremely helpful in narrowing down a date and a check-in time. When we arrived, Dermot was there to greet us and showed us to our place of stay. He made sure that we felt welcomed and if we needed anything at all, not to be afraid to give him a shout. Dermot helped us with organising a take-away and also with setting up the fire and heater. Area was beautiful and peaceful with stunning views of the Ox Mountains range. The barn was far bigger than I expected, with lots of room and everything you could need. Overall, was a very enjoyable experience and would highly recommend it.

Monica and Michelle were extremely welcoming and friendly. They got us set up in the cabin and feeling right at home. You couldn't pick a nicer spot, and it was made all the better by the friendly welcome! The cabin was clean and homely, had everything we needed, and set in beautiful grounds surrounded by things to do. Would highly recommend a stay with such lovely hosts! It's a shame we weren't staying longer! I could have laid in the hammock for a week! We are touring around the Wild Atlantic Way, and this has been a perfect spot for us to rest. Mary was really friendly she also helped us with some local recommendations. The house was really clean and cosy. I recommend the place is so peaceful… great spot if you want to disconnect. For me and my friends the jacuzzi and the beach/lake front of the house was the highlighters we really enjoyed it.

Collanmore Island Lodge is unreal, couldn't recommend it more! We had the best stag weekend ever here and Ciaran is a absolute gent. Getting to the island is easy and exciting, beds are comfy and facilities are top notch. Ideal for big family gatherings or any type of West of Ireland getaway. I will be back again for sure, thank you Ciaran and your great team.

We had a family break March 2025. 12 family members, the accommodation was perfect for us. Great kitchen/dining room for socialising/eating. Never felt on top of each other 6 of the bedrooms had en-suite shower room and there was also a downstairs cloakroom off of the main hall. All of the 5 double bedrooms downstairs had en-suites and one of the double bedrooms upstairs. We all loved coming back 'home' after a day out. Great outside facilities, plently of logs for the sauna, hot tub. Excvellent views. Beautiful stary skies on clear nights with zero light polution! Will be staying again, already planning our 2026 stay! Marian was extremely responsive both before and duting our stay, as was the local caretaker who responded almost immediatley to a maintenance request we had during our stay

We had a wonderful three-day stay at Mary’s place! The surroundings are beautiful, and the location is convenient with great access to the town. The price was very reasonable for everything that was offered. Even though the weather wasn’t perfect, the hot tub and sauna made our trip so much more enjoyable — they turned rainy days into relaxing afternoons. Sitting by the dock with a cup of hot tea, watching the water, was one of the most peaceful moments of our stay. Thank you, Mary, for providing such a cozy and lovely getaway!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Grattan Holiday Apartments, car parking out the back, spacious rooms, well-equipped kitchen and within walking distance to the beach, local pubs and restaurants. It's about a 20 minute walk into Galway city and taxi back is around €10. Highly recommend a stay here. Sean and Cathal are on hand if you need them and will recommend places to visit and eat

Audrey was very welcoming, the cottage was clean and comfortable, and the setting was beautiful! being dog friendly was a big plus for us and these garden and the garden was lovely

My brother and myself were paying a visit to relatives who live in the area..we found Sheila’s air B&B to be very accommodating..very homely ..warm ..private ..as my brother described it to being like “ home from home “.accommodation was very clean and well equipped .We could not find fault at all . We met Sheila before departing and had a lovely friendly chat and discovered she knew our relatives . We would definitely use this accommodation again if it met our requirement dates .

This is our second stay at Patricias house. The house is really spacious, clean and well maintained with lots of rooms for family activities. The surroundings are really quiet and peaceful but only a few minutes drive to a few lively areas with good pubs and restaurants. Lots to do in the house and garden, the bikes are an added bonus. We have always found Patricia to be very friendly and helpful, a fantastic host. Thank you again for letting us stay in your lovely home.

Chris & Collettes apartment was perfect for our couples get away, and so close to everywhere we wanted to visit in Sligo. They also could not have been more prepared, everything ready from their super handy recommendation folder to the instructions on how to use the things in the apartment. Couldn't recommend higher, loved the stay and would visit again. R&F

This getaway is exactly what we wanted. The cottage was extremely cozy, and was quite charming. With tons of nature around us, no screens, and good company, the stay was incredibly relaxing. We had a great time thumbing through the materials and fun history of the cottage. William was extremely accommodating and was very responsive. We will absolutely be back!

We loved our stay at Ed and Eileen’s beautiful home. A great location for exploring Connemara and the Aran Islands with all services nearby. We highly recommend it and hope to return.

Donal was the perfect host. No3 was spotless, comfortable private and close to Strandhill village which is amazing. I wld recommend No3 to all my family and friends. It was like home from home. 5stars all the way.

Padraic’s place was the perfect location in the heart of West End, Galway. He was an excellent host who was very responsive and flexible to my needs. The unit was a great 3 bedroom that had all you needed to a visit to this lovely city. I highly recommend it and will definitely be returning.

John was very welcoming and the bread, milk, jam and butter provided were very much appreciated! The beds were comfy and the house was located within walking distance into the town centre which allowed us to pick up some groceries easily.

Had a lovely stay, the grounds of the place were gorgeous and we really enjoyed taking in all the scenery. Karen was an attentive host and we had no problems checking in early and getting to the place.
